Donald’s iconic voice got a telemarketer to hang up.
The iconic duck is 87 years old. The man on the phone has been doing it for 70 years. Donald Sizemore is not your average grandpa. He’s got the duck’s voice in his throat and he uses it to perfection.

He even sang “I love you truly” in the iconic Disney character’s voice for his 50th anniversary.
Nothing against telemarketers, we get how it’s a job, but they do get annoying. So when a telemarketer called and his wife Gayle picked up the phone, Donald asked for it and spoke to the telemarketer in the duck’s voice.

Gayle Sizemore had no idea her husband would go viral. The video’s gotten over 6.9 million views!
She says,
“Oh my goodness no. I posted it on my Facebook (which is private) and both of my daughters called me dying laughing begging me to make it public so they could share it on their Facebook. They never dreamed of this either. They just wanted to share their funny dad with their friends.”

Now we all know how persistent and borderline annoying telemarketers can get. But we are decent people so most of us let them speak for a bit before politely declining or what not. Well most of us are decent…
“Hewhoah? Hewwwwhoooooah, are you dhere?”
Donald asks the telemarketer.

The woman makes her pitch, asking about Donald’s medication. But Mr. Sizemore responds with,
“Ohhhh, doah, am I in tawubble?”
Very much like the iconic duck.

The telemarketer realizes something’s up so she… hangs up.
So if you think you can do a very impressive imitation of a certain character, here’s an idea on how to deal with such callers. Of course minus the whole being disrespectful part.

Even Donald here says it’s all in good fun. Not sure if the telemarketer feels the same way though.
A viewer named Kevin Cummings made an interesting point,
“This is true love. A wife filming her husband doing something weird.”
See, behind the voice and the harmless prank is a husband and wife who have stayed together over the years and using that voice as a means to bond with each other. A freaking duck’s voice.

Gayle shares that she heard Donald’s imitation of the duck on their first date. Back when there was no social media and courtship was very romantic. Imagine these two decades back on a date. Cute huh?
“Dude knows how to impress his lady. Who could resist that voice.”
Says another viewer.

Too bad her name isn’t Daisy.
That telemarketer got over it. Hey it is part of the job. The duck on the other end is nearly as old as the animated duck yet both remain in good health so there’s no need to check up on the medication.
Now about that mouse… Anyone got Mickey or Goofy’s voice hiding in there? How about a reboot?
