Every Christmas Season, Nate Eaton and his team are busy preparing dozens of gifts to be given to deserving people.
Who’s the generous giver? A local who doesn’t want to be named but everyone knows the kind-hearted person as Secret Santa.
Only Nate knows who the real Secret Santa is, and he’s more than happy to help this donor fulfill his wishes to help deserving people.
In fact, even in their Thanksgiving celebration, Nate found the time to help someone who deserves a special gift.
It was Thanksgiving, and Nate was with his family.
Erica, Nate’s wife, held the camera, and Nate was with his three adorable kids, Elliot, Emmie, and Everett.
The family came together to surprise Marylou.
For everyone who knew her, Marylou had always been a kind-hearted woman. She would even go the extra mile just to help anyone in need, even though she herself was facing hardships in life.
Marylou’s husband passed away 20 years ago after battling cancer. Since then, she had done everything she could to survive and be the sole breadwinner of her family.
Two years ago, her furnace went out, and she didn’t have the funds to buy a new one or even get it repaired.
She would use space heaters, but they really didn’t get the job done.
According to Marylou, she would wear layers of coats and socks just to feel a little heat, but it was still cold.
Marylou tried to check out her options.
Some companies would even visit her to give her a quotation, but she couldn’t afford one.
Good thing Marylou visited her daughter in Pocatello to spend Thanksgiving with her and her family.
It was the perfect opportunity for Secret Santa’s sidekick to give Marylou her Christmas gift.
This day was special because Nate had little helpers, little elves, as he calls them. Each one has a gift box that they will give Marylou.
The family knocked on the door, and Marylou’s daughter answered.
She welcomed Nate and his family inside where he explained their purpose.
Elliott was the first one to give out a small box with two $500 gift cards to the grocery store.
Next, Everett handed her two more $500 gift cards, a total of $2000 worth of groceries.
Marylou’s face brightened while saying thank you.
Then it was Emmie’s turn to hand her the big red box. Inside the big red box was a gift certificate that will give Marylou everything she needs to have a new furnace.
All she has to do is call the company and they already know Marylou. They will be waiting for her call and would go to her house and install her brand-new furnace.
Marylou couldn’t believe it!
After over two years of living in her cold apartment, she’ll have a brand-new furnace again.
We can then see her daughter smiling at the back, happy that her mother would live comfortably again.
What we love about Nate and Secret Santa is that they do their research really well. They know what to give and each gift has value and meaning.
The gifts that are being given are gifts that could change the lives of the receivers.
