Four weeks until Christmas. But the season known for its giving and kindness can thank the random men and women out there who are selfless, loving, and kind the whole year round.

And it’s even better when they start young. We have the parents to thank for kids who are so wonderfully made that they think of others first.

Just like nine year old Brooke.

This young lady serves as a reminder to everyone that a small act of kindness, a good deed, a generous act can go a really long way.

Brooke loves writing notes. A refreshing hobby to see compared to the many kids who spend the whole day with their eyes peeled on their gadgets. And it was a note that started it all.

She was looking for a state trooper because when the trooper went out of his way to help her, Brooke ran off. Not something you do with cops.

Well it was Chad Savanna, the state trooper, who went out of his way to help the young lady. Brooke was at a local Sheetz buying donuts when she ran out of money. So Chad paid for her donuts.

“When I paid for the donuts and she ran out of the Sheetz, I mean, it was almost like she robbed the place. It was that quick.”

That’s the cutest burglar if it were true.

But Brooke ran out and headed home as fast as her feet could take her just so she could write a note.

Here’s what it said:

“My name is Brooke and I am 9 years old. I was at Sheetz and didn’t have enough money. A nice police officer behind me kindly paid for my item. I thanked him but I felt bad because I didn’t offer him the money I had. So I am donating this money. I want to thank this officer again. Stay safe, Brooke.”

Her letter came with a ten dollar bill.

Pennsylvania State Police were moved by the nine year old’s sweet gesture. The troopers collected fifty dollars together with a Toys R Us gift card with a special letter for Brooke.

They told Brooke to buy toys for herself. She did buy toys, then donated them to Toys for Tots. She’s one beautiful little lady.

It was all Brooke’s idea.

With her parents’ full support of course. Mom says that she just teaches her kids the right thing to do in any given situation. And because of what Brooke did, the cops repaid her kind gesture again.

They bought her gifts, a tour of the station with all its equipment and vehicles. She loves the cars!

The cops made Brooke promise that she would use some of those gifts she received for herself. Even the reporter did so. He also told her to eat the donuts. Brooke just smiles and laughs it all off.

She’s already got something else in mind.

A little girl, donuts, a trooper, a letter, and new friendships all on Christmas day. Now that is beautiful. Nothing was planned either. It was all spontaneous acts of random kindness and selfless giving. And you just get this feeling that Brooke still gave out what she had to the less fortunate.
