Now, even though these systems work, it doesn’t mean that they can keep properties and people safe all the time. Humans commit mistakes in setting them up and that’s what makes them weak and ineffective in giving the level of protection expected from them.

Goat horns can be kind of dangerous. You never know when they are going to ram somebody with them. However, this goat is free to do all of the head butting that he wants.
“I’ll never forget the time that my mom installed this lock in one of her bathroom drawers when I was a kid,” explains the daughter. The mom used the drawer to lock away the kids’ phones when they were misbehaving, but they found a way to get in.
If you are sick and tired of other people using your mug, why not just lock it to the rack? That’s what this person did. We’re not sure if it is ingenious or just plain crazy.
You never know what the Rumba is going to run into. It seems like a pretty risky game to play. There are a lot of downsides to Rumba roulette and not really any positives that we can think of.
5. Pajama Washing Instructions
The tag on the child’s pajamas from China is pretty hilarious. Just to be safe, they made sure to let the parents know to remove the child before washing. Otherwise, there could be a big problem.
This community just installed a new security gate to make sure no one who is unauthorized enters. Judging by the tracks in the grass though, it doesn’t seem to be working very well. Everyone just drives around.
The people didn’t want to lose their sandals so they locked them to the bike as well. There’s only one problem — anyone could just lift up the whole bike and walk off. Sure, the wheel won’t turn, but that’s never stopped a criminal before.
It’s a pretty ridiculous amount of security for a spoon. It must be made of gold. Why else would anyone attach a spoon to a long chain like this?
It’s a good idea to be safe when working with power tools. However, we’re not sure if this substitutes as suitable vision protection. Wearing a plastic bucket on your head probably does more harm than good.
This guy must really want to make sure no one steals his car. He locked the seat to the steering wheel so no one would be able to drive it. It’s a bit much, but it does work.
There has to be a better way to secure the gate than using six different locks. If you unlock just one lock, the gate is able to be opened. Whoever designed the system failed big time.
12. Polaroid Security Cam
“Stop littering, you’re on my camera,” the sign reads. It points to an old Polaroid camera attached to the roof. There are definitely a few issues with the setup.
Whoever decided to build the garage on the second story of the house is an absolute genius. You would need a flying car to access it. Unfortunately, we still have several years at a minimum until those are developed.
14. Wooden Anti-Theft Device
There is nothing more secure than locking a giant wooden beam to the steering wheel. It’s both ridiculous and effective. Although, there has got to be an easier way to prevent vehicle theft.
One way to keep people from entering a door is to install it off of the ground in the middle of a wall. Although, it also makes it hard to exit the building through it. If you aren’t careful, you could end up falling multiple stories.
It would be pretty hard to steal the toilet paper from this public bathroom. It is secured inside a metal case with a big lock. One or two small sheets of paper per person are all you are allowed.
Using an ATM at night isn’t recommended. However, no one is going to mess with this woman. She’s got two vicious dogs at her side to protect her.
They got the red X on the gate so they weren’t allowed to enter. They’ll have to find a different way to get in now. We wonder what they will do…
18. Homemade Zombie Smasher
It’s good to be prepared for anything. Even zombie apocalypses. There is no such thing as being too safe when it comes to zombies.
If you are tired of your roommate eating all of your food, why not just wrap a chain around the fridge? Yes, it’s a little bit overprotective, but the food thief will get the message loud and clear.
This seems like an interesting way to lock the door. The car has a chain with a padlock threaded between the front door window and the back door. Using the standard locking mechanism of the car is just not secure enough.
21. Smart Phone Road Sign
“A road sign warns drivers that they may encounter pedestrians who are deeply absorbed in their smartphones, in Stockholm, Sweden,” explains the man. Texting while walking can be just as dangerous as texting while driving.
We’re willing to bet no one will try to steal this bike. However, it’s not a very convenient way to lock it up if you are planning on using it regularly. It is creative though.
38. Wooden Electric Fence
Just because the sign says the fence is electric doesn’t mean it actually is. It’s pretty funny. It’s unlikely that it’s going to deter many criminals.
We’re not exactly sure what this is supposed to do. They went pretty crazy with the chains. Not only is there one running around the outside doors, but there is also a chain strung through the interior of the vehicle.
It’s important to lock the front gate when leaving the house. Although, this lock isn’t going to do much good. Someone could just reach right through the bars and undo it.
25. Scissor Retention Plan
“I have identified a flaw in my college’s scissor retention plan,” writes the man. The fact that someone would try to secure scissors with a string is pretty laughable. It’s not like scissors cut string or anything like that…
What is the point of having a door with a coded entrance if you are just going to put the code on a sign in the window? It doesn’t make much sense, but really, most of these security fails don’t make much sense…
In order to install the air conditioner, two men stood on the one ladder to hold it in place while the other man went out over the ledge on the end of it with the unit. It’s one of the most dangerous things that we’ve ever seen.
