It’s funny how sometimes we, as humans, can act in extremely irrational ways. We even know when we’re being irrational sometimes but that never stops us.
This is especially the case for toddlers. They throw tantrums, laugh at silly things, and play games that just seem to make no sense… But we don’t question it because, hey, they are toddlers.
There are a few feelings that both grown adults and toddlers can experience and one of them is the need to be loved. A lot of times, we know that deep down we are loved but it doesn’t matter. That logical side of our brain has checked out and really, we just want all of the validation and attention in the world.
Is it so wrong to want a little attention from someone you love?
This toddler was going through it and luckily for us, the hilarious moment was caught on video for the whole world to see.
2-year-old Kristen Burden was vying for her father’s attention, so she only had one mission: to make sure that she was the only one in his life that he loved.
“You love me?” She asked her father.
He immediately responded yes, but it didn’t matter. It wasn’t enough. She craved something more.
So she asked him if he loved her again… And again and again and again and… Well, you get the point.
For a whole thirty seconds, little Kristen cannot stop asking her dad if he loved her. But unfortunately for him, she was unsatisfied every time. This little toddler was surely on the hunt for the most love she could possibly get and she wasn’t about to take just anything.
As soon as her father answered, “Yes,” she would ask the same question right away without even waiting. And it is honestly so adorable and hilarious!
It’s almost as if Kristen is teasing her father — but he is letting her get away with it because it is just too cute! Can we even blame him?
Their dynamic with each other is so cute, it is clear that the father and daughter have a very special bond.
“Yes, only you. Jesus,” the dad says toward the end.
But Kristen doesn’t let him get away with that attitude. She then turns to her dad and gives him a little slap on the forehead. This is the sassiest little gal we have ever met!
The video went viral with millions of views and it’s pretty easy to see why — it is adorable.
“I think we all love you… and, we don’t even know you,” one person commented.
“I love how she ignored her father when he asked about her love for him, but pressured his reassurance of his love for her,” another person hilariously pointed out.
“Here I am, a 62 year old woman, quarantined in a seniors apartment building, trying to figure out how I can find someone to put this video on a loop in a DVD so I can watch it on my TV set. Thank you ,sweet little girl, for making us happy for a while,” someone else said.
