Flight Attendant Gives Laugh Out Loud Safety Speech
The entire speech was hilarious, but I died over the ending. :)

Traveling can cause stress and anxiety for a lot of people.

But as they say, laughter is the best medicine – and some flight attendants are giving their passengers a good dose of it!

One Southwest plane was treated to quite the comedy show prior to flying to their destination. Fortunately, a passenger pulled out their phone and captured the scene on film. It’s so hilarious in fact, it’s been viewed millions of times on YouTube.

If you’re someone who’s flown a decent amount of times, then you can probably recite the plane’s safety procedures in your sleep. Or, you might even just tune out the flight attendant who’s delivering them (not that you should).

This is a pre-takeoff safety speech you don’t want to miss! It took place on a flight to Islip, New York – and it had everyone cracking up.

The video begins with a Southwest flight attendant named Robert introducing the crew, but then he gets right down to business.

Seatbelts, seatbelts everybody.

Ready for a seatbelt demonstration spiced up with dry-humor? He tells the passengers:

“…in the event you have not been in an automobile since 1942, we’re going to show you how to fasten a seatbelt, watch closely. Do this.”

Robert then kicks it up a notch by explaining they need to have their seatbelts “low and tight” across their hips – similar to the hot pink Speedo he’ll be wearing later that night… Oh, but he was just getting started!

Just in case you need a life vest.

The flight attendant gives instructions on the life vest, all in the “unlikely event” the captain turns their flight into a cruise. He reminds them that it’s not a toilet seat cover, and if they’re looking for the crew in the water – they’ll be the ones “toting that liquor kit.”

While Robert’s giving his speech the other flight attendant acts as the demonstrator. How he’s keeping his composure is beyond me!

Everyone knows you can’t smoke on a plane, but these passengers got a comical reminder.

Robert tells everyone that if they have a cigarette during the flight – there are two “entertainment lounges” on the plane, one on the left wing and the other on the right. But while they’re trying to smoke, everyone else will be watching Gone with the Wind and Bye Bye Birdie.

He says:

“Very simple, very easy, don’t be naughty in the potties and leave the webcam alone in there…”

There’s so much more to this funny safety speech that had passengers rolling in their seats. But just wait until you hear what he has to say about the oxygen masks!

According to Yahoo! News, Robert’s been a flight attendant for Southwest since 2005 – and unsurprisingly, these aren’t the only passengers he’s made laugh. In the video, he ends his instructions with a song set to the classic Barney tune:

“We love you. You love us. We’re much faster than the bus. We hope you enjoy our hospitality, marry one of us and you’d fly free.”

Thanks to one traveler, the internet was able to witness the hilarious speech, which is laugh-out-loud material.

In the video’s description it says:

“I was coming back home on a Southwest flight when I discovered I had one of the funniest flight attendants on board with me. It was one of the best flights I have ever been on!”

While not all of us will have the chance to be on one of Robert’s flights – Southwest is known for having warm and friendly crews. On their Facebook page they share that they offer:

“…Low Fares, Customer Service, free pretzels and soft drinks, Funny Flight Attendants, and FUN.”
