Whether taking a business trip, going on vacation, or heading to a destination to meet up with family or friends, most people want to sit quietly on a plane and then get off as soon as it lands. After all, flying isn’t the most exciting thing to do, especially for people who travel often. Fortunately, some flight attendants go out of their way to make each a little more memorable.

You can’t beat Southwest

If you’ve flown on several different carriers, you’ve no doubt noticed a big difference in overall service. Now, all flight attendants work incredibly hard and do their best to please every passenger. But Southwest Airlines has some of the funniest attendants in the industry, hands down.

Putting him on the spot

In a video that’s now garnered more than 1.2 million views on social media, a younger male flight attendant by the name of Clarence puts an older one named Frank on the spot. Standing in front of the passengers, he begins grilling him with questions. He first asked, “What is Southwest Airlines doing during this tough economy to make a little extra money?”

A priceless response

The older gentleman truthfully blurted out that the airline is trying to generate more revenue. One way to accomplish that is by offering passengers flu shots on their flights. And they’re only $10.

Everyone laughed

Initially, the people on the plane thought there was going to be some kind of serious announcement. But once the two got going, they realized that wasn’t the case. If these two ever leave the airline industry, we say they have a great future as a standup comedy act.

It got better

Frank then announced that if anyone on the plane wanted to get married in Las Vegas to the person next to them, it only costs $29.95. He went on to say the marriage only lasts 24 hours. But then he added, “there’s an automatic annulment at the end.”

Back and forth banter

When finished with his comments, Frank handed the microphone back to Clarence. That’s when he said they now have a new award, kind of like the “Best Flight Attendant of the Month.” Now the older guy has the microphone but before going into details, he acknowledged a third flight attendant named Brook who just received a very prestigious award … all the passengers clapped and cheered.

Not included

After complimenting Brook on her outstanding service, Frank stated, “Unfortunately, Clarence and I have won no awards whatsoever.” While he stressed that Brook would serve everyone with her amazing skills, he then said that the passengers have no idea what kind of service he and Clarence would provide.

Doing it the Providence way

Before Frank gave the microphone to Clarence again, he told the passengers that he’s from Providence. That means, “If you want a drink … get it yourself.” At this point, the laughter is super loud and even Clarence couldn’t stop cracking up.

Safety protocols

As part of the standard operating procedures on planes, the flight attendants must go through several steps that show the passengers how to buckle and unbuckle the seatbelts. So, Clarence began, which seemed normal at first. Then he “accidentally,” told the passengers to secure the belt tightly across their lips … oops … hips.

He kept it going

While the older attendant placed the yellow floating device over his head for demonstration purposes, Clarence said, “Yes, it looks like a toilet seat but it’s not.” The humorous things these two did and said went on throughout most of the flight.

What makes this video even better is that while Clarence laughed along with the passengers, Frank remained stoic. They might appear opposite but they complement each other incredibly well. These passengers had a flight they’ll never forget.
