When Sharon Radcliffe boarded Delta flight DL2721 she never imagined that she would end up in tears on her flight.

But one flight attendant’s act of kindness touched her so much that she shed a few.

Radcliffe was traveling from Detroit to Nashville when she quietly watched Jeffery Jones at work.

She observed Jones rushing over to help a lady. The woman was in a wheelchair and looked uncomfortable and was having trouble walking and standing.

Jones immediately realized that she had Parkinson’s disease.

“Without blinking an eye, he went to her and guided her, by the hand, to a free seat in first class!” she explained in a Facebook post.

Radcliffe was in complete awe. “Like WHAT????” she wrote. One of Radcliffe’s colleagues helped to assist Jones with getting the woman into her new fancy seat on the plane.

But Jones’ care and concern didn’t stop there.

“For the ENTIRE flight, I could see him checking in on her, patting her back. helping her get up, walking her (holding hands) up and down the aisle, and generally ‘mother hen-ing’ her,” Radcliffe explained.

Radcliffe offered to help Jones assist the woman to the bathroom.

But he refused.

He said, “I GOT THIS!” His grandmother had Parkinson’s so he had experienced helping elderly women with the condition.

That’s when the tears came to Radcliffe’s eyes.

When she got off the plane, Radcliffe told Jones that she was a nurse.

And that she was very impressed by the level of care he offered to the woman.

“I told Jeffrey. “I am a nurse, and I am so impressed with how you took care of that lady. My mother is a very young 70-years-old and is a newly diagnosed Parkinson’s patient. I hope one day someone treats her as well as you treated that lady!” she said.

Radcliffe even tweeted Delta Airlines to tell them what a gem of an employee Jones is saying that he is a “compassionate and phenomenal employee.”

Delta ended up writing a story about Jones and it went viral. He recalled the woman as a “sweet lady.”

He ended up also making a Facebook post thanking his “new friend” Sharon for sharing her experience on the Delta flight.

“All of the positive comments, shares, feedback, etc. have been an amazing and humbling experience for me,” Jones wrote.

“And thank you to Delta for showcasing my story….which happens to be one of thousands upon thousands of the good deeds and hearts we as flight attendants perform and share every day in and out of the air.”

Jones took his first plane ride when he was just 3 years old and immediately fell in love with flight.

All three of Jones’ living grandparents are struggling with Parkinson’s, so he immediately wanted to help the woman.

He saw that there was “miraculously” an open seat in first class and no one on the upgrade list, so he knew that it was a sign of a “meant-to-be-miracle.”

Jones was just happy to be the one who could help make traveling a lot easier for her.

Isn’t this a beautiful story?
