Living in a school is most teenagers’ worst nightmare- but for 15-year-old Riley Hansen, it’s his everyday life.

Riley’s family bought and renovated the former elementary school four years ago, turning it into a home unlike anything we’ve ever seen before.

Thanks to TikTok, Riley has been able to share clips of his home with people all over the world, and its uniqueness has helped these videos to quickly go viral.

Riley’s TikTok account was initially just used for him to share updates of his progress learning how to drive.

But one day, he decided to share a video of his unique home- and after it became an instant hit, Riley’s converted elementary school now features heavily on his account.

Titled, “Some cool but weird things in our old school that is now a house,” Riley’s first video of his home shows just some of the unique traits that the converted house has.

These include an outdoor pool inside, a TV that spins so it can be seen in different rooms, PCs on the ceiling, and bathrooms equipped with two showers.

After the success of his first video, Riley shared another video showing yet more of the cool quirks that can be seen in his house.

In this video, we can see a raised bed that also doubles up as a closet, two sinks and toilets in the bathroom, two washers and dryers, and even an indoor basketball court.

While you’d think that Riley would have all the space in the world, as it turns out, he still has to share a bedroom.

This is because Riley’s mom and dad foster lots of children. It was actually the reason why they decided to buy the school in the first place!

“My family has always wanted to give back where we can and help as many people as possible. So we bought our school so we could get as many foster kids as possible,” Riley told Bored Panda.

Although Riley’s parents bought the school four years ago, remodeling such a vast space is a huge project, and the remodeling is still going on to this day.

Eventually, Riley’s parents hope to section off all of the bedrooms so that everybody gets their own room. But for now, there’s more than enough space to comfortably share.

It turns out that living in a school isn’t so bad after all. Riley’s house features a playground, a basketball court, and a huge indoor swimming pool. It’s every child’s dream!

“Living in a school is great and it has its ups and downs, but in the end, it is definitely worth the sacrifice,” Riley said.

Some people pointed out that the narrow corridors of the school might be too much of a tight space for some people, but Riley argues that the family have been free to renovate it how they like.

“The building is extremely large so it’s very open and you never feel claustrophobic,” he explained. “Also, it’s a black canvas so we have been able to turn it into our dream home.

We have to admit, we never thought living in a school would be for us- but after watching these videos, we’ve officially been converted!

We’re pretty jealous of the life that Riley and his siblings get to live.
