Growing older means you can’t do all of the same things that you used to when you were younger. However, that doesn’t mean you have to be boring. That’s what Staci Clemmer’s mother proved recently during a Halloween party at her elderly home.
The woman was 84 years old when the event took place.
Yet, the video that Staci posted of her mom on Facebook shows her dancing around the room in her costume just like she used to when she was younger. Surprisingly, her body hasn’t changed all that much either. She can be seen wearing a hot purple bikini during the party and fitting into it perfectly. At least, that’s what it looks like at first glance.
Upon closer inspection, it turns out that it is just a funny t-shirt.
It gives the illusion that at 84, Staci’s mom still has a sculpted beach body. We’ve all seen t-shirts like this before — they have ones for men that have images of fake muscular bodies, complete with six-pack abs. Normally, it is only young obnoxious drunk people that buy these sorts of novelty shirts. All of the souvenir shops at the beach are loaded with them. They have slogans on them like “F.B.I: Female Booty Inspector” or “Got Beer?”.
However, the fact that Staci’s mom owns one of these shirts is absolutely hilarious. We have never seen someone her age rocking one of the fake bikini shirts. It’s representative of her amazing personality and sense of humor.
Around half of people living in elderly homes are 85 years of age or older, so that means, technically, Staci’s mom is on the younger side for the group of seniors. Yet, eight-plus decades is no joke. It’s so impressive how full of life she still is for her age.
Even in her golden years, she still knows how to have a lot of fun.
“Happy Halloween!!!! This is my 84 year old Mother!!!! Living the life!!!!! She’s having the time of her life!” explains Staci Clemmer in the video description.
Making the Halloween outfit even more outrageous was the color of her hair.
She wore a long neon-purple wig to the party to match the purple bikini. Technically, there is a small chance that it might even be her real hair, dyed purple. It’s hard to tell for certain, but wouldn’t that be crazy? Many women dye their hair when they start to get a little gray, but not many go full-on neon-colored.
Our favorite part of the video though was Staci’s mom’s epic dance moves.
She might have had to use a walker to help support her while she worked her way around the room, but that didn’t stop her from busting a move. All of the other seniors cheered her on laughing as she swayed back and forth, working those hips and picking her legs up and down.
We can only hope that we are still as cool as her when we reach our eighties.
While many other residents wore costumes to the party, it’s clear that Staci’s mom’s costume was the best of all of them. She completely stole the spotlight.
Everyone on social media agrees as well. Since the video of the party was posted on Facebook, it has been viewed over 12 million times and liked by thousands of people all across the world.
People can’t get enough of Staci’s mom’s infectious energy, and neither can we. She is an inspiration to all of us. Here’s to wishing her many more healthy and happy years to come.
