Every year, a local Idaho resident gives about a million dollars to deserving Idaho residents during the Christmas season.

They partner with East Idaho News to look for these individuals or families and share these gifts with them.

Would you like to meet the latest recipient of Secret Santa’s generosity?

Meet Daisha, a single mom of four kids who works hard to give them the best life.

She works as a DoorDash driver on the side for extra money.

However, her current car is very unreliable and she can’t drive too far because it might break down.

This prevents her from taking more orders than she can and limits the amount of money she can earn every time.

Daisha needs a new car but how can she afford it when she can’t earn more money from her side job?

Enter East Idaho’s Secret Santa.

Nate Eaton of East Idaho News has just arrived at Daisha’s apartment complex with a big surprise.

Nate is not the Secret Santa but he is the messenger of the Secret Santa surprises.

“She has never asked anybody for help and Secret Santa wants to help her as she does her job,” Nate explained.

When Nate knocked on her door, Daisha was surprised to find a news crew right outside.

Nate told her that she was going to get a delivery this time for Secret Santa’s gifts for her.

Daisha thanked Nate but she probably didn’t realize what kind of gifts were waiting for her.

The first gift she received was in a green box with a red bow.

Daisha thought that was it.

Maybe it was a gift card for a local clothes store or grocery.

She wasn’t expecting anything big and was about to close the door on Nate.

But Nate asked if she could open the gift in front of them.

Daisha is such a sweet and nice lady and she said she will.

When she opened the box, she was confused at first because she had no idea what she was looking at.

She asked Nate what it was and he said it was a $500 gift card for car fuel.

Daisha’s eyes lit up because it was going to be a big help for her.

She could definitely use the gas money to fuel her car for at least a month!

But Nate told her it wasn’t just one card, it was six cards!

She had received $3,000 worth of gas money! But Nate wasn’t done.

He told her to look under the cards and she found a $1,000 check to pay for her car fees.

Because she has another surprise.

Nate handed her another box and when she opened it, she couldn’t believe what she saw.

Inside the box were a set of car keys.

Secret Santa just gave her a brand-new car that is guaranteed to not break down unexpectedly in the middle of her driving.

Nate took her to the parking lot in her apartment complex with her daughter and finally saw her brand-new car for the first time.

Daisha couldn’t believe her eyes and she was just in shock.

She went inside and sat in the driver’s seat but she still felt like she was dreaming.

Her daughter was excited and wanted to take the car out for a drive.

“I’ve never had anyone do anything this big for me before. Thank you so much,” Daisha told Nate.
