Your wedding day is one of the most special days of your life. Groom, José Vitor Flach, wanted to surprise his bride, Cíntia Bonfante Pereira, and make her special day even more memorable. He knew the true way to her heart was through her students, so he brought her students to her. Cíntia Bonfante Pereira is a speech therapist in Caxias do Sul, Brazil. She works closely with young children with Down Syndrome to help their speech impairments.

Instead of helping her students, her students were able to be assist her on her wedding day.

Cíntia and José’s wedding was already beautiful and special but, little did she know that her groom had a surprise that would make it even more so.

When it was time to exchange rings, to Cíntia’s surprise the church doors opened and revealed many of her young Down Syndrome students dressed in their wedding best. She looks toward her groom in complete shock and immediately starts to cry. José has the biggest smile on his face and holds onto his bride as they watch her students walk down the aisle to bring their rings forward.

It is quite clear that José already understands what his bride holds dear, her students. José and Cíntia greet her students at the end of the aisle and they each take their time in talking and greeting every student. The love Cíntia has for her students is written all over her face as she greets all her students with happy tears in her eyes. Her students were the last missing piece to create the best wedding she could have ever hoped for.

2020 might not be over but José has already won groom of the year with this amazing and touching surprise.

Not only was this one of the greatest wedding surprises but it is also one of the cutest. Cíntia’s students are dressed in their very best to present her and José with their wedding rings. The children are of all differing ages but every student is ready for their wedding debut. Two of her smaller students even get to drive down the aisle in their toy car.

The cuteness factor is in overload between the thoughtful husband, surprised bride, and adorable students.

It is almost as if Cíntia and José forget about their own wedding for a few minutes because all of their focus is on her students. The couple completely dedicate their time to her students as if it is the most important part of their day. Yet, seeing how much Cíntia loves her students, it might just have been the best part of her wedding day.

“He [José] met some of my patients who commented or shared photos on my social networks and organized for them to bring our rings on our wedding day! 💍 I love my profession so much and having the opportunity to have some of the children with us on this day was inexplicable, the emotion overcame me in a way that I thought my heart would not take,” Razões Para Acreditar quoted from Cíntia’s Instagram page.

Cíntia’s passion for her students has created a passion for all people living with Down Syndrome. She fights for the inclusion of anyone with Down Syndrome in real life and not just on social media. Cíntia and José’s wedding photographer, João Vicente, has Down Syndrome. Cíntia explained,

“..having João Vicente as our photographer, in addition to being an honor to be photographed by him, was my way of showing that there are no limits when we do not define people just by their diagnosis! It was beautiful, wonderful, better than I ever imagined and we still contribute to a more inclusive society. There is no greater happiness than that.”
