By some people’s standards, it wasn’t much, but the snacks that Toni Hillison Barnett and her husband left out for their local delivery drivers in their Louisville, Kentucky meant a lot to their UPS guy.
He was super excited to see there were an array of snacks and drinks left for him.
His reaction was so wholesome that it went viral. UPS sure does have a lot of drivers who go viral! The Barnetts started leaving snacks out for her drivers during the pandemic when they became more reliant on deliveries.
They wanted to show their appreciation for these essential workers and kept up the practice over the last few years.
Plus, they get to record the reactions of the drivers when they see snacks and watch them later for satisfaction.
“I live for reactions like this to our snack cart! Thx to all of the delivery drivers out there! We appreciate you!” Barnett wrote on Instagram.
The Barnetts then posted their driver’s reaction on TikTok. His name is believed to be Dee.
She said Dee’s reaction might be one of the best she has seen.
That video ended up being viewed more than 107,000 times.
It shows Dee walking up to the steps with two big packages in his hands.
Then he spots the snack stand.
“Oh my God, you guys are the best, I gotta take a snapshot of this,” Dee said. “Oh, Capri Suns are my favorite, Yes!”
Dee ended up having to return to the Barnett’s home for a second time that day.
“Thank you! Oh yes, no way, we’re back again with the Capri Sun. I think this is where I went viral, isn’t it? You guys are awesome. Thank you. Doritos … Thank you, have a great day. Thank you for making me go viral,” he said.
Dee found out he went viral after one of his friends saw the video and told him.
“That’s my friend Dee! He’s the best,” one commenter wrote.
The video of Dee’s return trip also went viral with about 400,000 views.
TikTokers delighted in Dee’s wholesome reaction to being gifted some snacks.
“Seeing a grown man get so excited about Capri Sun is extra wholesome,” a TikToker wrote.
Dee said that he sometimes works 10 hours or more without a break.
So, having someone actually care that he got a moment of rest was nice.
“I’m a delivery driver and so far had one house to do this … it was the best. Half the time we don’t have time for a break and work 10+ hours,” one person commented.
