While the coronavirus pandemic has forced some of us farther apart, it has brought some people closer.
Being home because of quarantine has allowed 8-year-old Tallulah to get to know someone who is always in her neighborhood.
Tallulah has become really good friends with her neighborhood Hermes delivery driver Tim Joseph.
Tallulah & Tim just had their Tuesday catch up, ๐๐ผ๐๐ like us, Tim is overwhelmed with everyones lovely comments and interest. He signed to us that he cried with joy. Tallulah would see her new buddy Tim one or two times a week.
They would be friendly with each other and always say hi.
Tallulah ended up becoming so fond of Tim that she decided she wanted to draw him a picture.
Tim became so fond of Tallulah that he kept the photo on display in his van.
“This is our delivery man, we see him 1 or 2 times a week, start of lockdown Tallulah drew him a #thankyou,” Tallulah’s mom Amy Roberts wrote on Twitter. “He still has it proudly on show in his van, they have built up quite a friendship over these last few weeks.”
But Tallulah’s affection for Tim didn’t end there.
During their friendship, she learned that Tim was deaf.
So, she decided she would give him a proper hello in sign language.
Tallulah and Tim have made the news again today, seems it really is the feel good story that keeps making people feel good ๐๐ @ststephensaud #proud https://t.co/s3V81xJ4tQ

Tallulah learned how to sign “Have a good day.”
Tallulah’s mom captured a video of her daughter standing at her garden gates greeting Joseph in sign language.
Joseph was definitely taken aback by this gesture of love and her willingness to communicate with him in a way familiar to him.

He was pretty excited and all smiled.
Joseph then teaches Tallulah how to sign “Good morning.”
He was grinning ear to ear when Tallulah replicated the sign.
“Tallulah realized I was deaf and then one day she surprised me when she signed to me, ”have a good day”, I think she learned sign language at school,” Joseph told Daily Mail. “I was vey happy and I then showed Tallulah how to sign, ”good morning, have a good day” and then she signed it perfectly and it made my day.”
Roberts posted a video for Tallulah and Joseph’s interaction on Twitter where it was viewed more than 22.2 million times.

Joseph echoed those sentiments when he spoke to the press.
โI was very shocked when Tallulahโs mum posted the video on Twitter and I saw thousands of people liking it and people sharing it, saying โthank you,โ โlearn to sign,โ and โthumbs up,’โ he said.

โI hope more people learn to sign and we bring more people together. Thank you very much and โgood morning, have a good day.’โ
Tallulah’s affection for Joseph was admired by all.
And how Jospeh cherishes his new friend.
“Yeah he is, always smiling and friendly, they always have their little sign language conversations, so cute. Tallulahโs always asking me…. have you bought anything mum? Is MY friend coming today??” Roberts explains.
Tallulah’s story ended up going viral being picked up by lots of national news outlets.
“We saw him this week and asked if he knew he was famous. He just laughed and was so shy about it all. He is so lovely. Well done Tallulah for spreading such joy and showing thereโs love and kindness in the world,” wrote one commenter on Twitter.
