If you’re having a hard time shopping for groceries during the coronavirus pandemic, you’re not alone. Many shops have already limited the number of people that can go inside to avoid crowds and prevent the virus from spreading. Still, chances are that you will have to wait in lines before you can enter and that always carries a risk under present circumstances.

Evan Rosenman from Kentucky would not allow himself to be taken by surprise and was already prepared for a worldwide crisis such as the coronavirus pandemic. Evan had stacked toilet paper and hand sanitizer before the virus outbreak and has now decided to share the much-needed supplies with people who need the most!

Already famous online for his videos in which he shows people how to perform magic tricks, Evan shared a new video in order to encourage people to stay safe and keep a positive attitude during times of crisis.

The video Evan shared showed a handwritten sign he put on his front porch: “Delivery Drivers: Take it if you need it! Thank you for your hard work!”

He placed a bucket full of hand sanitizer and toilet paper below the sign, as well as an arrow pointing to it. One particular delivery man stopped by and spotted the sign and supplies on Evan’s porch and rang on the doorbell to check with Evan whether he could take some of the supplies he needed.

“You’re a lifesaver,” he said. “Thank you,” he said with visible relief.

The video gained popularity on social media and encouraged others to offer their help

Grateful for the supplies, the driver thanked Evan who also thanked him for working hard. “Thank you for working hard, man,” he said. “I appreciate it. Have a good one.”

While others have rushed to the stores to pick up products like hand sanitizer and toilet paper, often much more than they really need, Evan decided to share and sacrifice to help others.

“Take care of the people who are taking care of you,” Rosenman captioned the video. “Share this to help spread some positivity… and stay safe my friends!”

If we all do our part, we can overcome this crisis

The coronavirus pandemic is a challenge for all of us but also a chance to demonstrate our solidarity and humanity. We can help contain the outbreak if we each do our part. For most of us, it simply means staying home until the danger is over, while others do their part by delivering supplies and other essentials to people in quarantine.

Evan has found a way to help and his act of kindness is already making a difference. You too can make a difference by staying home or using the skills you have to help others in any way you can.
