It’s a pretty common belief that once you become a parent, your independence gets thrown out the window. You are no longer an individual who is only responsible for taking care of yourself! Children require your full attention now- you must feed them and shelter them and give them as much love as possible. By the end of that, it’s hard to do much for yourself.
The good thing though, is that being a parent makes it all worth it somehow. Sure, in a regular scenario you would like time for yourself… But when it comes to your children, you soon realize that you gain way more than you give up.
And being a parent sure has its hilarious moments as well.
Like maybe there is a rare occasion where you are actually trying to do something for yourself… Until your kids come in to change all of it. Sure, it can be annoying- but it can also be beyond funny.
That was the case with this mom and her child, anyway.
In a video uploaded just this past summer, we see a mother trying to get her groove on to some music.
But while she’s over there getting her groove on, dancing from side to side and shaking her hips and arms left and right, her daughter enters the picture.
Her daughter looks majorly confused. She definitely does not look like she is supposed to be there, that’s for sure.
Her mother had some funny words to say about it too.
“I’m just a mom with a bunch of kids. I am in no way an expert on anything,” the mom wrote on YouTube.
“My videos are usually in fast forward in order to match the length of the music (and I think it makes it more fun to watch). If you are into watching an old mom exercise, you are in the right place,” she adds hilariously.
And even though this fitness-loving woman refers to this video as “old mom exercise,” we would have to say that she is doing a pretty good job!
We love to see it.
She is obviously super into the dance moves, which is the most important part of anything creative. The passion and enthusiasm are there.
As the mom continues to learn the choreography that is taking place in front of her, her child walks back into the screen after taking a short break.
Who’s the real star of the show?
The child tries to mimic her mother’s dance moves and it’s super sweet but only lasts a second or so until her daughter walks off camera once again.
At this point, it is hard to tell who the real star of the show here.
The mom is obviously killing it and getting every dance move down. She is putting in the hard work. But on the other hand, her daughter is so dang cute- which kind of out rules everything else, right?
Then we’re in for a real surprise.
Suddenly, out of nowhere, the daughter enters the frame again but this time she is wearing a giant sombrero. We wish we had answers.
What we do know though is that this adorable moment makes it all feel worth it, even if this mama can’t dance alone.
