Not all heroes wear capes and these super-dads show just why.
The hardest, most rewarding job in the world is no doubt being a parent. Nothing comes close to knowing you’ve been that cool parent who has always supported your child from the get-go and suffers no shame in the process. It’s easy to state, but hard to accomplish as you have to tap into your inner child and impress them in ways the adult-trained mind can’t achieve.
That’s why it came as surprise when a group of dads got together for a ballet performance of a lifetime. A fair warning, this may cause extreme laughing side effects and a desire to see grown men do this more often. The entire spectacle gained massive attention through various social media platforms and boy did it deserve it!
These dads prefer to dress up and play ballerina instead.
The daddy crew assembled in Lincoln Elementary School for Wyckoff Dad’s Night in Wyckoff, New Jersey. The event has garnered so much popularity that it even has its proper website! The group was composed of four fathers who united to perform the famous ballet, Swan Lake, composed by Russian Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. The ballet is world-renowned and although it has been performed thousands of times, this version is definitely in the top of the list!
“You can only imagine the delight in your child’s eyes when you walk out on stage. To them, you become a superhero. You can do no wrong. If you want your child talking about you for the next 6 months, get up on stage and have some fun.”
The show began with the first two super dads tip-toeing like would-be ballerinas while the remaining two followed in a straight line, but instead with a tough exterior to reveal their immense amount of self-belief.
In addition, let’s not ignore the men’s uncanny fashion style when it came to choosing their outfit. Wearing white veils, the crowd briefly gives them booming cheers and applause as the four began to take the stage and begin their hilarious act.
They truly deserve to be praised. The dads make it all look so easy!
Laughter broke out as the four began following their “synchronized” choreography. They held hands tenderly as they began tip-toeing their way to comedy central. To their benefit, their footwork was actually quite impressive!
They demonstrated a variety of moves including an interesting mesh of the river dance as well as the crisscross apple sauce. These dad’s show how courageous they are by not caring what anyone thinks about their dance technique, and it’s not going bad at all! This will undoubtedly strengthen their relationship with their child as the dads demonstrate exactly what their superpower looks like.
The brilliant show continued with flashes from the camera capturing every comical moment. For their final moment, the dads stunted the famous ballerina turns in place with their arms overhead and then concluded by a graceful kneeling done in unison. The crowd erupted with cheers to congratulate the fathers on a memorable performance that will live on for quite some time.
This is the moment we all strive to achieve as a parent: to be recognized by our child as positive support in their life. The love is reflected in how much a parent is willing to invest in their child’s activities so that the child can see that their actions do matter. These super dads get it, and we wish more great dads out there can take a tip from their handbook.
