Baby foxes are truly adorable. But since they’re a bit shy, they can be very tough to see. Sometimes, though, you get lucky and spot them in the wild.
And sometimes, they end up at your front door!
That’s just what happened to a woman in Illinois. She ended up hosting a whole group of adorable baby foxes.
The woman’s grandson, a Redditor who goes by Vechrotex, shared photos of the animals.
He explained that his grandma lives in a wooded area, and so it’s common for her to see lots of animals. Still, she’d never had a sighting quite like this before!
At first, just one baby fox appeared on her porch. The adorable creature ran up to the sliding glass door and licked it. Everyone on Reddit’s hearts melted when they saw this photo.
Since the photo was so cute, it quickly went viral, receiving more than 100,000 upvotes.
The next day, Vechrotex gave an exciting update. He said the baby fox had come back to say hello.
He also naturally shared another sweet photo of the tiny animal.
The next day, Vechrotex said the fox came back again. And this time, he brought one of his siblings.
The two little foxes ran around on Vechrotex’s grandma’s porch. They turned it into their own personal playground!
A few days after the original post, Vechrotex shared one final update about the foxes:
“Another update to the baby foxes: his friend caught his tail!”
Vechrotex also said that he had spotted the foxes’ mother hanging out in a bush near the porch. She was supervising her little kits as they played on the ‘playground.’
People on Reddit loved the baby fox saga, and many people had hilarious responses to the cute photos.
One Redditor said that all they needed was a Bloodhound puppy, and then they could remake the Disney movie The Fox and the Hound!
“All grandma needs now is a neighbor with a bloodhound puppy and we have the makings of a great movie.”
Another Redditor shared a cute story about how their neighbor reunited a little fox family.
About a month later, a Redditor asked Vechrotex for another update on the kits.
He said that his grandma has spotted them in the woods. Since they’re a bit older now, they’ve begun hunting on their own.
They also haven’t been spending much time on the porch. Still, Vechrotex is hopeful that the baby foxes will visit again!
“The normal thing to happen before and after the pictures where taken was you would see them deep in the woods behind the house with their mom. I’m sure there older now and hunting by themselves, but I would have to ask my grandma,” Vechrotex wrote.
These photos are truly adorable, and seeing these happy foxes made our day. We’re so glad Vechrotex shared them with us.
