“Doing what you love is the cornerstone of having abundance in your life.” – Wayne Dyer
We spend most of our days working. Can you imagine what it would feel like if you were not in love with your job?
If you don’t love your job, each day you wake up will feel like a burden. Even your performance at work would suffer.
However, if you are grateful and in love with what you do, each day will be a blessing. Your performance will show what kind of an employee you are, especially when you’re in the customer service field.
Have you ever experienced ordering food or buying something but the person at the counter gives you an attitude? We’ve been through this, and it’s such a disappointment to experience the negativity of people who hate what they do.
In New Orleans, there is a gem working at Popeye’s.
Always ready to serve everyone with a smile and a song, Ms. Cynthia Carter has been working in this Popeye’s location for more than 30 years.
Never, in a single day, did Ms. Carter disappoint her loyal customers, and finally, last March, she went viral.
One customer, Aundra Woodfin, took a video while ordering through the drive-thru. In her post, Woodfin said:
“Whomever this lady is at this Popeyes on Loyola (in Kenner)…Thank you!”
Carter has served in the famous fast-food chain for over 30 years.
Imagine that? For 30 long years, her service remained the same. If it will be the first time that you will hear her take your order, you might think she used to work as a DJ.
Carter has talent, and she knows it.
She can bring a smile to every customer she talks to. Even if you have a rough day, go to this drive-through, and she will make you smile.
She’s not just kind and accommodating, she can also sing, and since the people don’t see her, they focus on her voice.
Her voice is sweet, bubbly, and kind. She also gives her customers nicknames like “sweet honey dumpling.”
In the said video, she greeted her customer with a sassy voice as she takes their order.
In the Facebook clip, Miss Cynthia, as she is called by her lovely customers can be heard singing, “Spicy or miiiild?”
Her customers end up singing their answers to her because her energy and tune are contagious.
For more than three decades, this amazing woman made a lot of people smile. She shared her smile, positivity, and talent with everyone she met.
Love your life and love your work, and it will pay off.
Like most of us, Carter also has bad days, but she doesn’t let it affect her work, and that’s what a model employee is. We’re pretty sure her boss is proud of her.
So, if ever you’re craving some fast food, and you’re near Loyola Drive in Kenner, try their drive-thru and meet the lovely lady.
