One couple at a McDonald’s drive-thru thought they were going to get a bag of food once they had reached the window, but something unexpected had happened.
Instead of receiving their breakfast order, they were handed a bag filled with something very unusual!
The Terry family from Tennessee were just expecting their usual McDonald’s breakfast when they pulled away from the drive-thru.
To their astonishment, they discovered that an employee had mistakenly placed a bag of money on the drive-thru order line.

“The second that he said it was their deposit, my first thing was get in the car, let’s take it back.
You know, there’s no other way to have it, I couldn’t live with myself with that,” she said.
Fortunately, an employee realized the money was missing quickly.
She was able to catch up with the Terry family before it was too late.
The employee was visibly shaken by the incident.
“She was shaken, you know very upset, visibly upset she should have been because it could have been anybody,” Stacy Terry told News 5.
McDonald’s issued a statement expressing gratitude to the Terrys.
The family believes it was an honest mistake and hopes no one loses their job over the incident.
The statement from McDonald’s thanked the family for their honesty, stating, “We are grateful for this customer and the action they took upon realizing our error.
We are looking into why this mistake happened, but what is most important to us is knowing that we are part of a community with values that were evidenced by this person’s actions.”
The Terrys can now laugh about the incident, knowing that it’s unlikely to happen again.
