In today’s climate, a lot of cops get a bad rap. A few unfortunate events make people think that law enforcement is bad or different from everyone else. But in reality, they’re everyday humans like the rest of us.
One cop proved that at a Latin music festival. Before long, the whole crowd loved him. After all, he was pretty spectacular.
Off duty
It’s common for police officers to work special assignments outside of their departments, like providing security at ball games or walking around shopping malls. But for one cop, he did something incredible while off duty. Even though he was still in uniform, he made a surprise appearance.
Feeling excitement in the air
If you’ve never been to a music festival before, you’re missing out. While songs play in the background, people mill about. There’s always lots of food and beverages and enough excitement for everyone.
He had to check it out
In the Los Angeles area, a special festival was taking place. Hearing the music, an LAPD motorcycle cop by the name of Booker decided to see what was going on. He’d finished his shift and decided to check it out and it’s a good thing he did.
Five seconds
That’s about how much time it took before Officer Booker found someone to dance with. Swept up in all the festivities, he was ready to go. And wow, this guy has some saucy salsa moves.
Having a blast
Booker and his partner were having the time of their lives. Immediately, people began to gather to watch this uniformed officer and a gorgeous Latina lay down some serious dance moves. They were all taken back at just how good he was.
Natural rhythm
If you didn’t know better, you’d swear that Booker was Latino. He had all the right moves and then some. His partner had probably danced to Latin music all her life but this cop had no problem keeping pace with her while throwing in some sexy hip action.
Stealing the spotlight
Throughout the entire song, the two of them got a lot of attention. She was amazing and obviously, very talented. But we have to be honest here, it was Booker that people couldn’t take their eyes off of.
Glad he stopped by
Without question, stopping at the Latin music festival was an excellent decision. Booker danced his heart out and met some fantastic people. With his gun still in its holster, he held his own the whole time he danced.
A day to remember
Not only will this police officer remember this day but so will everyone else who watched him and his partner. He made quite an impression. Although it was a lot of fun, it also showed the people there that cops are humans and that some of them really love to dance.
Time to go
Once the song ended, Booker wiped the sweat from his brow. He then turned to the woman he danced with and the two embraced. It was such an amazing moment and fortunately, many people caught it all on video.
Booker’s Latin festival dance was uploaded to social media. It quickly went viral, getting more than 1.6 million views and tons of positive comments. What a special surprise and a great way to spend time with strangers.
