The celebrity dating circle is quite an interesting human experiment. There are only so many celebrities and with how much they date around, it’s no wonder they know all each other’s secrets.
For some odd reason, we all love keeping up with their romantic lives and seeing who is dating who (it’s kind of like high school for adults). One of the things that EVERYONE loves is a repeat relationship.
We’ve found the best examples of celebrities who ended up marrying the same person twice!
1. Elon Musk
The CEO of Tesla started dating Talulah Riley back in 2008 and was married in 2010. They ended their relationship soon after in 2012, but in 2013 they got remarried… and divorced again in 2014.
2. Elizabeth Taylor
Elizabeth Taylor married Richard Burton back in 1964 and the two were together for 10 years. They took a yearlong break, and they were back together for two years! Taylor and Burton had a collective 13 marriages between the two of them.
3. Eminem
The 8-mile rapper married Kim Scott back in 1999. They ended up separating back in 2001 but got remarried in 2006. They also got divorced that same year. They have only been married to each other!
4. Pamela Anderson
Anderson has had two (sorta three?) flings with Rick Salomon. The first was in 2007 and they ended up divorcing a year later. The second was in 2014, but they filed for divorce then canceled it, then follower through with it another year later.
5. Larry King
Larry King, one of the best interviewers in history, seems to not listen well when it’s romantically involved! He was married to Alene Akins from 1961-63 and then again from 1967-72.
6. Melanie Griffith
Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson were married for half a year back in 1976. They ended things but then got back together again from 1989-96.
7. Richard Pryor
Richard, one of the most widely respected comics in history, married two different wives, twice! He married Jennifer Lee from 1979-82, then remarried in 2001. During the interim, he married Flynn elaine from 1986-87, then again from 1990-91.
8. Natalie Wood
Natalie married Robert Wagner from 1957-62 and again from 72 until she passed in 81. She also married Richard Gregson from 1969-72.
9. Barbara Walters
Barbara has been married 4 times to 3 different people. The repeat was Merv Adelson and they were married from 1981-84, and again from 1986-92.
10. Elliott Gould
Elliott married Jennifer Bogart from 1973-75 and again from 1978-79. While that was a famous marriage, he also married Barbara Streisand from 63-71!
11. Judge Judy
Judge Judy (Judith Susan Blum) married Jerry Sheindlin from 1977-90 and ended up remarrying in 91. They are still together today!
12. Rodney Dangerfield
Rodney married Joyce Indig and the two were together from 1949-62. After separating, they reunited from 1963-70.
13. Frida Kahlo
Frida married another artist, Diego Rivera, in 1929. They were married for ten years, then separated. They then reunited in 1940 and were together until she passed in 1954.
14. Ben Stein
Ben married his wife, Alexandra Denman, and were together from 1968-74. They got back together in 1977 and have been together since.
15. Marie Osmond
Marie first married Steve Craig and was together from 1982-85. They remarried in 2011 and have been together since.
16. Jean-Claude van Damme
Van Damme first married Gladys Portugues from 1987-92 and ended up remarrying back in 1999. They have a few kids and are still together!
17. Dionne Warwick
Dionne first married William Elliott from 1966-67. They then remarried the same year (67) and were married until 1973. They have been each others only marriages!
18. Paul Hogan
Paul married Noelene and were together from 1958-81. They ended up remarrying less than a year after their divorce was finalized and were together until 1990.
19. Rosemary Clooney
Rosemary first married Jose Ferrer and were together from 1952-61. They remarried and were together from 1964-67. She had five marriages with four different men before she passed in 2002.
20. George C. Scott
George first married Colleen Dewhurst and the two were together for five years, 1960-65. They remarried and were together a second time, from 1967-72.
21. Richard Burton
Richard Burton married Elizabeth Taylor and were together from 1964-74. They took a year off and were remarried for a year from 1975-76.
22. Nene Leakes
NeNe Leakes (from Real Housewives of Atlanta) married Gregg Leakes and the two were together from 1997-2011. They remarried in 2013 until Gregg passed of cancer this year.
23. Sinbad
Sinbad married Meredith in 1985 and were together until 1992. A decade later and they picked things back up in 2002. He explained that the marriage didn’t work because the industry they were in required him to be selfish, making him a bad husband.
24. Don Johnson
Don married Melanie Griffith and were only together for six months in 1976! They got back together in 1989 and were together until 1996.
25. Terrence Howard
Terrence Howard married Mira Pak back in 2013 and had a secret divorce in 2015. After an announcement on social media back in 2018, the two got married again!
From the looks of things, a second try at marriage rarely works in the celebrity world! There are a rare few who are able to make their round two last forever. Still, love is always worth a shot, right?
