The stereotype about dogs and cats not being able to get along has been around for decades. But time and time again, we’ve seen cats and dogs prove this common trope to be false.
This cat and her dog brothers are another wonderful example of how well cats and dogs can get along!
The most important thing to having a multi-pet household is acclimation.
The first thing to remember is all dogs and cats are different, just like humans! They all have their own personality and specific things they like or dislike.
Some dogs do fine living with cats; others simply cannot live safely with felines. Sometimes, a dog can live with certain cats (depending on their age, temperament and activity level), but not others. Even if your dog has successfully lived with cats in the past, it is important to remember that each dog and each cat is an individual and therefore each introduction is different. – Best Friends

If you’ve successfully acclimated your cat and dogs, you know just how loving they can be towards one another. It seems to be a sign of maturity when the two species can coexist within one household and many times it turns into a real animal friendship!
Having a household with animal friends is really a special thing.
For people who didn’t decide between being a cat person or a dog person, the resulting cuteness is often unbearable.
For one family, the decision to allow their animals to become friends has been one of the best decisions they’ve ever made. In a recent video, we see just how cute cats and dogs can be together.
We start off seeing a little cat walking on towards something in the distance – she has something she is intent on doing!
As the camera pans up, we see exactly where she’s heading – to her doggy brothers. Instead of being afraid of them, she walks right up!
With zero fear, she climbs right on top of them.
You can see that this isn’t some fearful relationship between a cat and a dog – they are old friends. The lazy pups just sit there placidly as their feline friend climbs up onto them and finds a cozy spot in the middle.
They are clearly napping and the kitty wants to get in on the action!
At one point, the cat even gets to snuggle right in the middle of them.
Taking a nap with friends is the ultimate sign of closeness.
When this kitty lays between them, the dog simply lifts his paw up and drapes it around her in a practiced motion. It’s one of the adorable things you’ve ever seen, without a doubt.
It’s moments like this that show us that our differences make us better!
Even though cats and dogs are very different, they share a love of cuddling, and that’s what counts. These friends are so sweet together.
