Despite numerous campaigns against school bullying, there are still students who unfortunately think that playing with someone else’s feelings is harmless.

Michael Conrad, a junior in Taylorsville High School, Utah was looking forward to a homecoming dance, thinking that a cheerleader had left a note at the door asking Michael to be her date.

Sadly, the note was a prank, and Conrad felt bad about it. However, bad guys didn’t win this time because Dexonna Talbot, Miss Greater Salt Lake, gave Michael the sweet revenge.

Jennifer Conrad, Michael’s mom, told Fox 13 that the unknown person left the note at the Conrads’ home door, after Labor Day.

Someone first egged their home and left the note that said:

“I’m sorry for the mess. But how about I make it up to you by taking you to homecoming?”

The note was signed in the name of Michael’s classmate, a cheerleader. The paper even had a lipstick smooch on it. Visibly excited, Michael approached his friend at school and asked her about the invitation.

The girl was sad and confused, she explained that she had nothing to do with the prank, at first she didn’t even know what Michael was talking about.

Conrad, who has Autism and ADHD, explained that the prank made his mom very angry, saying that “Mama bear was awoken!”

We think it’s perfectly understandable that Michael’s mom was furious. Mrs. Conrad contacted the school, and Michael’s teacher soon found about the whole incident. Everyone wanted to help, and turn things right.

Michael’s former debate teacher, Jenn Palomino, told KSL in Salt Lake City:

“I didn’t know that I could do anything to turn it around, to be honest.”

Nevertheless, Palomino spoke to her friend, a former pageant queen, and the friend later told about the horrible prank to Miss Talbot.

As soon as she found out about the incident, Talbot decided to do something beautiful for Michael in front of all of his classmates.

“I automatically broke down into tears, because just thinking about the fact that someone would go out of their way to make someone else feel bad is so heartbreaking to me.”

Dexonna Talbot went to Taylorsville High School, entered the classroom in the middle of the history class, and asked Michael to be her homecoming date.

Of course, Conrad said yes. Talbot handed him a poster, and the date was set.

The school never found out who were the bullies, but we guess that they didn’t like the fact that Michael won. Fortunately, there are always precious people out there who make things right. Michael is the true winner, and we are so happy for the lucky fellow.

Dexonna and Michael ended up having a great time together.

Talbot planned a day date, dinner, pictures, and then the two showed off on the dance floor.

In the end, Michael had one thing to say: “…you can’t pin me down. I’ll always get back up.” That’s right, Michael! Kindness always wins!

One more thing: Michael tore up the fake invitation, but he said that he’ll forever keep the poster Talbot gave him.

Interestingly, Talbot is pursuing a master’s degree in special education. It looks like things were meant to happen the way they did.

Apart from being an active ballet dancer, Talbot will soon graduate from university. She explained that her family inspired her to study special education.
