Sibling relationships can be the longest relationships in our lives.
Having an older sibling has a big effect on younger siblings.
A study called the “Sibling spillover effects in school achievement” even suggests that children with an older sibling that performs well academically will do the same.
Conversely, children with older siblings who engage in negative behaviors may also adopt those same behaviors.
According to those theories, this little girl featured in a viral video will probably grow up to be exceedingly kind and/or a “criminal”… thanks to her older brother.
He not only allowed her to spend the night in his bed since she didn’t want to spend the night alone, but he also helped to break her out of her crib.
He went back for her doll too.
The entire adorable ordeal was captured on video. That video begins with the little girl calling out for her brother.
“Levi,” she says
“What,” he responds.
“I’m talking to you,” she explains.
“I got it. What are you… what?”
She then tells him that she wants to lay down in his bed and that she wants to bring her doll with her.
“Again?” he says. “Uhhh, let me think.”
He soon agrees, but it isn’t long before she has another request.
“So, I want my binky,” she tells him. “I want my binky, Levi.”
She asked him if he could get the stool for her so that she could get down and he agreed.
So, he moved the stool and asked her if she needed help getting down.
“No, I got it by myself. Thanks, so I could do this by myself,” she said.
But once she got down, she realized that she forgot her binky. And that just makes her brother laugh.
Thankfully she was able to retrieve it through the bars in her crib all by herself, which she seemed pretty proud of.
Then her brother realized that the “blanket” that she had brought from her crib was actually just pajamas.
But they both agreed that this was OK. Levi then offered to get his little sister’s baby.
“It’s downstairs,” she tells him.
“No, I’ll get your doll baby,” he explains.
So, Levi gets out of his bed and climbs up into his sister’s crib to get the doll as she repeatedly tells him where he is and isn’t allowed to step.
She then makes sure to thank her brother for retrieving her doll.
He tells her to come and take it from him so he can climb over the railing and down the stool. She gets in bed while he climbs down. Thanks to her big bro, this little girl has everything she needs to get through the night.
This adorable video of this big brother taking care of his little sister ended up being viewed more than 9.9 million times! Mom and dad sure got a sweet surprise when they checked their baby cam.
