But she never gave up and encourages others to do the same. “You just keep plugging away. You don’t give up.” she said. “Don’t think you can wing it, because you can’t. We’re in show business, which is fun, but take your business seriously because it is a serious business.”
Betty White takes her job very seriously mostly so she can spend the rest of her time giving back. It’s not well known but alongside being a famous actress, she is also a huge advocate animals, and is a member of several animal rights groups. She also surrounds herself with good people with similar passions.
“I know it sounds corny, but I try to see the funny side and the upside, not the downside. I get bored with people who complain about this or that. It’s such a waste of time,” the actress said.
