Betsy turned 60 and knew she wanted to treat herself to a makeover.
She wanted a new look for a new decade. She did not just want any makeover, she wanted a makeover from Christopher Hopkins, a.k.a The Makeover Guy. He is the makeover extraordinaire and she knew he would be the best stylist to completely transform her into a new person.
Christopher Hopkins has been giving life changing makeovers since the 1990s. His amazing makeovers were even featured on The Oprah Winfrey Show. His best-selling book, “Staging Your Comeback, A Complete Beauty Revival for Women Over 45,” has been on Amazon’s top ten list for over a decade! He opened his own studio, MAKEOVERGUY Appearance Studios, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This studio is normally booked a year in advance because his skills are so in demand.
To say he is the go to makeover specialist is almost an understatement.
Betsy gave Christopher free reign over her makeover but made sure to butter him up, before he started, with a gift.
Betsy is from San Antonio, Texas and brought him Texan bourbon and Texan vodka with a book about Texas drinking. Christopher jokes that they are about to have a great time but goes straight back to creating a vision for her makeover. She does not need a tipsy stylist during a life changing makeover, that is for sure!
Betsy is ready for a makeover but not a dramatic one, a semi-dramatic makeover.
Betsy remarks that she likes the grey hair that has started to grow around her face. Christopher agrees and starts to see his makeover vision come to life. He does not let her in on his vision but that is okay because he has a plan and Betsy completely trusts him.
Going grey does not have to be a hair color to hide, it can be sassy and sexy. As Christopher tells Betsy,
“The salt is good but the pepper is boring.”
MAKEOVERGUY Appearance Studios does not only provide hairstyle services, but an entire makeover day for their clients, including a make up lesson. Betsy loved the make-up portion of her makeover because she was able to learn tricks of the trade that she did not know before.
This will be important for her to be able to keep her new style once she travels back home.
Betsy’s makeover was everything she wanted and more.
She has an entire fresh new look for her 60th year. Betsy might have just turned 60 but her makeover has made her look 20 years younger. She was beautiful before but the makeover has given her a pep in her step. She is shining and radiant with her new style and is proving that feeling great about yourself makes a person shine even brighter.
