Planning a wedding in the time of coronavirus is pretty stressful. How many guests will you be able to invite? Will the venue still be around by the time your big day comes? Will the catering companies be operational?

No one knows what the future holds.

And that makes it pretty important to show people just how much they mean to you.

Twenty-four-year-old Will Claussen’s wedding is slated for July of 2021. But he still had to pop an important question this August.

He needed to ask if his brother Henry would be his best man.

And he did it with a message in a bottle.

Will’s big ask went viral on Instagram (and is now being spread across all social media platforms) partly for its creativity, but mostly because of just how darn thrilled his little brother was to take on the big duty.

Henry has high-functioning Down Syndrome and the two brothers from Minnesota have always been best friends.

No doubt their lives have been full of special moments, but it’s always nice to be able to show someone just how much they mean to you by asking them to play a big role in your special day.

Of course, Will didn’t just hand Henry a message in a bottle with the request – he made it fun!

The brothers were at their family’s cabin in Hackensack, Minnesota on Aug. 14 when Will led his brother to a place where he had buried something special.

“Henry, or Hank as we like to call him, has loved metal detecting for quite some time. He has a small pile of treasures and now this is one he will add to this collection,” he said, according to KMSP News.

As Will’s fiancée AJ recorded the moment, Henry digs up a bottle he “found” with his metal detector.

When he sees a note inside, Henry’s reaction is priceless.

The men read it together before the news sinks in.

Then, once it’s clear he’s being asked to take on the big role, Henry jumped for joy – right into his brother’s arms!

“He is a role model of mine, but also my biggest fan and advocate,” said Will of choosing his brother.

When he shared the video on Instagram two days later, he captioned it:

“In a World with much need for love and positivity, [Henry] always comes through ❤️”

Will also revealed what the note said.

“Henry Joe, you are already the BEST bro, and my very BEST frand, so will you please say yes and be my BEST man?”

In an interview with ABC’s World News Tonight, Henry told viewers how much he was looking forward to his brother’s wedding:

“I’m happy for my brother. I’m happy for their marriage. And I’m so proud of them so much. I’m so excited for the wedding because I can’t wait to see the kiss…they’ll have a lot of presents, cake, happiness, dance, and so yeah!” he exclaimed.

And Will replied in kind.

“You’re already the best brother… now you’re my best man.. keep spreading that love and positivity…. I hope everyone else does too,” he said.

It’s pretty clear that Henry and AJ’s big day is going to be pretty special for everyone involved.
