We all expect Batman to save the day from the evil villain, but did you know that he also helps little kids when they need it? For one little girl, school wasn’t a place she felt safe and secure in.
Thankfully, Batman heard about it and decided to catch the soonest flight from Gotham and head her way!

3-year-old Lydia Calculli had always been one of the bubbliest girls around… until she started coming home with bruises on her face.

Lydia’s mom, Erica, knows that her daughter is one of the most fun-loving little girls she’s ever known.
With that in mind, she was perplexed when she noticed that her daughter wasn’t acting like herself anymore.
At first, she didn’t think much of it.

As any mom knows, a little kid can pick up bruises anywhere and from anything. In fact, they seem to be bruise magnets! Still, she took note and kept her eye out.
When little Lydia came home one day with a black eye, however, it wasn’t a “coincidence” or an “accident” anymore and Erica was going to get to the bottom of it.
Talking with her daughter, she learned that kids had been hurting her daughter at the school playground.

This wasn’t hide-and-seek play, either. A group of girls and a boy had thrown a shoe at her eye, causing the bruise.
Erica reported it to the school… and they did nothing.
When the school didn’t do anything about Erica’s complaint, she posted the story on social media. Thankfully, Batman was on Facebook that day.
Batman occasionally lives in Spring Hill and finds time between his villain-chasing to comfort kids who need a little superhero confidence.
When he saw that Lydia was in need of help, he knew what to do.
Soon, Lydia was being walked to class by the famous superhero himself!
Batman replied to the post and expressed how much he enjoyed being able to tell all the kids at school how Lydia was his best friend.
“I made a new friend today. This is Lydia. I was heart broken when I saw her mothers post. To the point she didn’t want to go. So I reached out and asked if I could walk her to school. Hopefully this will help her over come the fear knowing who has her back. Also got her a cool outfit to be my side kick !”
The response was immediate. Lydia started to get her confidence back and she can’t wait to tell her mom about all the wonderful things she is learning in school now.
For a little girl, getting a superhero best friend was the perfect solution.
Erica later posted a thank you to Batman of Spring Hill.

“Lydia got a surprise visit at school from The Batman Of Spring Hill.
I really hope she’s more comfortable at school now, and I can’t wait to talk to her when she gets home. Thank you again, Jack!”
Batman helps lots of kids who need a little confidence in their lives! It’s truly an amazing thing that he does. For all the “Lydias” out there who need it, maybe a superhero visit is an option!
