U.S. veteran Lyle Chauvin was put in this exact situation.

It was when he was diagnosed with a brain tumor and had suffered memory loss. Despite his condition, he would never forget his favorite restaurant – Little Big Cup, which is located in Arnaudville, Louisiana.

He wanted one of his last meals to be in that special place. Of course, he was with his better half, Gloria Chauvin.

When the staff from the restaurant heard about his condition, they wanted to do something special and comforting for him.

The employees started to sing the song Amazing Grace – which is a heartfelt hymn.

The harmonies and the lyrics of the song are truly comforting and made the man emotional.

“’Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed!”

This beautiful song gives everyone hope and faith regardless of what is happening around us.

“Mr Chauvin is dying and he wanted one of his last meals at The Little Big Cup! Our employees and guests joined his family celebrating his wonderful life! Y’all in a time of all this uncertainty, isn’t this truly amazing? People coming together What an amazing tribute to this Wonderful Man, Veteran, Husband & Father! Kevin and I are simply honored that our little restaurant on the Bayou has become such a special place for so many, Thank Y’all,” he added on his post.
The clip has gained more than 57,000 shares on Facebook and it also made rounds on other social media platforms. It did not just uplift Lyle but it has also brought inspiration to many people.
Lots of commenters left their sweet messages for the US veteran. Some of them even thanked him for his service.

There was also another one who sent him a kind message.

With all that has been happening in the world right now, this story just shows us that an act of kindness can affect someone big time. If all of us would just spread kindness just like what the employees of the restaurant did, the world would be a better place. We all want that, right?
