Yup, someone got married at the age of 80 years old. She is Janet Merryman, and here’s her beautiful story.
A video of her, which was posted by her granddaughter, Danielle Jefferson, on TikTok, went massively viral.
In the video, Janet is seen trying on a stunning wedding dress.
She was so happy and looking so bubbly. You can see her excitement about her upcoming wedding.
As for Danielle, she was so supportive of her grandma and happily cheered her on while wearing the dress.
Their heartwarming video touched the hearts of millions of people and even caught the attention of Good Morning America, who interviewed the two of them.
The bride has a story to tell.
Given that Janet is already 80 years old, it is safe to say she’s had her fair share of experiences and challenges.
Janet met her late husband when she was just 15 years old, and they shared many beautiful years together. Sadly, her husband tragically took his own life 16 years ago, leaving Janet to deal with a painful journey alone.
Janet also battled with her health.
That’s when she was diagnosed with colon cancer. At that time, she thought that she wouldn’t make it.
She also admitted that she found herself feeling deeply lonely.
That’s why she really deserves to be happy.
Danielle couldn’t be more thrilled that her grandma has found a new love and is ready to embark on this exciting chapter of her life.
She also made sure to be with her during the happiest days of her life. She was there to accompany her when she was choosing her wedding gowns.
Of course, she was also present during her wedding.
Thankfully, she posted lots of videos showing glimpses of Janet’s wedding. Seeing her happy also brought joy to other people.
