When we talk about kids, the things that usually come to mind are toys, games, and school. At their young age, it’s expected that they tend to focus on these things.

What we don’t always expect from kids is altruism.

Just because they love toys doesn’t mean that they don’t want to also pursue things that are quite big for their age. This includes helping people strangers.

An 8-year-old kid is a great example of this.

Tyler Stallings has been doing things to help homeless veterans.

If you’re amazed that he has this initiative at 8-years-old, you’ll be more impressed by this one.

Tyler was 4-years-old when he started thinking about helping veterans. He then told his mom Andrea Blackstone about it. So she showed him a YouTube video regarding the lives of homeless veterans.

When he learned there are veterans with no place to stay, it moved him to help. He and his mom started Kid Time Enterprises, LLC.

Tyler became the CEO at 4-years-old.

In the same year, he also joined Maryland Center for Veteran Education and Training which is a nonprofit organization that also has the same advocacy in helping the veterans.

It all started with a $100 donation.

But as years went by, he was able to raise more than $50,000. This huge amount is for homeless veterans.

How did an 8-year-old kid accumulate such an amount of money?

Well, it was all because of his big heart and hard work. Of course, the guidance of his mom is also a big factor. These donations were products of his genuine concern for veterans. People surely appreciate his cause.

Tyler was the one who came up with this idea. He distributes these “big bags” to veterans and these bags are filled with essentials such as food, beddings, hygiene products, and more.

If you visit his Facebook page or website, you will see all the activities and fundraising he has been doing to continuously provide help to those veterans who need it.

Tyler doesn’t stop helping.

Even during the pandemic, he is still doing things for the veterans. You can visit the GoFundMe that he and his mom created.

As of this writing, they have already raised $71,819 to be exact.

It’s just nice to see that many people are getting money from their own pockets to help our real-life heroes.

Just yesterday, Tyler’s mom gave an update about their latest mission.

“Hello, everyone! I’ve been under the weather. We hope you’ve been well. We just want to let you know that funds for the last mission were raised. The requested help a for the veteran’s car was provided,” she wrote.

Andrea also told everyone that they will be helping more veterans again. They just don’t stop and they deserve all the appreciation for continuously working on this campaign.

It’s not easy to raise funds, we all know that. But Tyler and his mom are willing to do everything just so they can support the veterans who need a helping hand.

Of course, those people who have donated are also considered heroes.

It’s good to see that kindness still exists.
