70-year-old guy hears his song and steals spotlight in senior dance class
He heard his jam and couldn't hold back and we're super glad he didn't. 🤩

People put on their party dance pants for all kinds of reasons. Some do it to attract a mate (Studio 54, anyone?), while others do it just because it feels so freakin’ good.

And if you’re anything like Elvis (or the Engergizer Bunny), well, you probably move your limbs just to get all shook up.

So, what’s this 70-year-old fella’s excuse for rocking his ageless body in a room full of beautiful ladies?

He simply couldn’t resist grooving to a smooth R&B beat.

Scientists aren’t exactly sure why we enjoy movement so much (think: action flicks, car crashes, rollercoasters), but they do know that coordinated motion has a way of stimulating the pleasure centers in our brains.

In other words, dancing is a great substitute for drugs (un-scientifically speaking, of course).

Does that mean you need to be an amazing dancer to get a jolt of good juju? Heck no. Any type of rhythmic movement will do.

For example, this weasel war-dancing ferret is about as spazzy as any living thing on this planet can get.

Traumatic brain injuries and bruises be damned – he’s hella happy using his whole body to express how sweet life truly is.

While some people may joke that this man is as old as the sun is big and yellow, you gotta admit – compared to other folks in his age group, gramps can really move.

With close to a million views, it’s no wonder his dance class video has gone viral.

(His cheeky attitude probably had something to do with it, too.)

“OMG….. Mr. Gentlemen you be gettin down….ur so blessed to be able to move like… Keep up da good work…. Oh and please keep him in da front he’s doin his thang. Honestly, U all are Simply Wonderful:)” – @Tonia Mac

Not only is dancing good for the soul, but it’s also good for keeping our bodies bendy and flexible, which is perfect for those moments when you feel like doing a random high-kick in the middle of the grocery store.

Dancing is also great for tight tushies, and let’s be real – you’re never too old to want a bum like a ball of steel.

He’s unfaded, unjaded, and bringing the house down with his youthful energy.

In the video, you can see this unnamed gentleman rock and sway his body to “Soul In Love,” a smooth R&B soul song by Jill Scott (and featuring Anthony Hamilton).

There’s just something to be said about the innocence of youth, even if it is wrapped up in a 70-year-old’s body.

Comments on the grandpa’s dancing prowess included:

“I’ve watched this video at LEAST 10 TIMES! Sir in the front…you are absolutely workin’ it! Love this dance and the song is one of my FAVS! Awesome job everyone!!” – @goforthnl

Others cheered him on for representing the older generation in a fun-loving light:

“My man up front is representing!!!! Excellent.. one for the class!” – @BoParker
