Sometimes, the best man is the little man. Look no further than 7-year old Vincent here.
Vincent’s father, and the groom at this wedding, is Nick. His dad is marrying Lauren, and Vincent is serving as the best man on their very special night.
And of course, a best man’s gotta have a speech.

Vincent’s got one written down right here, but I don’t think he proofread it to Nick or Lauren beforehand.
“For anyone who doesn’t know me, I am Vincent Del Bono. I am my dad’s best man. I am also a ladies’ man.“
This is a sign of what the rest of the speech is going to be like, because right after the “I am also a ladies man”, Vincent gets some wild cheering and even a “WOHOOOO!” from the audience, about as quickly as he finished saying “ladies man”.

He continues, “First of all, I would like to thank everyone for coming down to Atlantic City to celebrate the wedding of two of the silliest people I know…..well, I’m actually the silliest. But they’re pretty close“.
Don’t say he didn’t warn you guys.
But don’t be fooled by the cheeky comments and mischievous smile on this man. He’s here to tell his dad how proud he is of him, even if it takes a few lines to get to that part.

Soon, Vincent makes it pretty clear that he’s the best wingman and PR guy Nick could possibly ask for. “My dad is the most loving and caring man I know”, he says.
I doubt he needed anyone to ghostwrite that part for him.
“He also has way bigger muscles than any dad from my class. Sometimes I even think he looks like a superhero. Whether my dad is a real superhero or not, he is my superhero. He can’t fly or anything, but he has even better powers. He takes care of me when I’m sick.”
“He reads me stories every night before bed. He taught me how to ski, he taught me how to throw a baseball, he teaches me how to have good manners, he’s at every single game of mine, and he can always make me laugh. But most of all, he loves me. I’d say those things make him a superhero.”

Nick, naturally, can’t hold back tears after hearing all of this. Most of us watching and reading this came to see the cheeky, “funny” bits of Vincent’s speech. Though just from the context and way that Vincent talks about his dad, it seems like Nick is one hell of a dad.
It’s pretty clear that, prior to marrying Lauren, Nick was raising Vincent by himself. Though there’s a lot of ways single parenthood can affect kids, Vincent seems to have no problems. That goes to show how good of a father Nick must be!
Though Vincent’s not done with delivering the laughs. “But every superhero needs a sidekick – that’s me, and every true superhero needs a pretty girl by his side”.

Look at this man. Proving he can do excellent PR work for both Nick AND Lauren.
He continues, “When I first found out that Lauren and dad were getting married, my first thought was ‘Yes! Now I can get a baby brother!'”. Can’t blame him for thinking so, isn’t a younger sibling what all of us wanted at some point?

Remarking further, Vincent tells the crowd that upon being told he was going to be the best man, he didn’t even know what a best man was. Fair enough.
In what might be considered “Too much information”, Vincent narrates about Nick’s habits of teasing and scaring Lauren for fun (such as flinging deodorant balls at her) and how he “stinks up the house”.

But the wrap-up is the best part.
“Daddy, I am glad to call you my best friend, and I’m happier that you asked me to be your best man. But most of all, I love that all three of us are the Del Bono family. I love you guys.”
And right as he wraps it up, he doesn’t forget to call for a toast to the newlywed couple. He’s given an applause and some happy tears from Nick and Lauren.

What an amazing best man, no?
