It’s easy to lose faith in humanity these days. But don’t give up. Take a look at these people who are making a difference in the lives of others and focus on the blessings they’ve brought to the world.
1) It doesn’t take much
All this lady did was keep herself busy while riding the bus. She pulled out a sewing kit and fixed the headrest while on her way to her destination. It wasn’t her job but she stepped up to make things better for others.
2) Only you can prevent them
This is what one looks like after a 32-hour shift. He sat down and within seconds he was asleep. That’s pure exhaustion. We can’t forget about the work that people like this man put it for us.
3) He found everyone
This dad spent over three months before Christmas collecting bottles with everyone’s names on them. That’s the kind of man who should be the patriarch of the family, a thoughtful mind and kind heart.
4) When you see a stranger struggle
This older gentleman saw the younger one struggling with his tie at the subway station. He quickly stepped in to help him out, not knowing him or where he was heading. Could be a job interview or a wedding, it didn’t matter to him.
5) He’s a bird lord
This guy came home to find birds that hand-built a nest in his bike pack. He swore he would take the bus to work for as long as they live there. Now that’s a sacrifice that not many would make.
6) Uncle of the year
This uncle built an amazing treehouse for his kids and nephews/nieces to play in. He even decorated it for Christmas. It looks like a castle for kids of all ages to play in. I want to play inside of it!
7) We all have that fear
The vet tech broke all of the pills in half for these people so they didn’t accidentally overdose their dog or have to break them all themselves. That is a sweet and thoughtful gesture from the heart.
8) No words needed
This picture speaks a thousand words. Her feet were hurting from her shoes so he gave her the ones he was wearing and now he’s walking home barefoot. This is the kind of sacrifice a relationship needs.
9) The job suits him
This firefighter saved this cat, gave him oxygen, and became his best friend all in the same afternoon. You can see the empathy in his eyes and it’s almost too much to bear. He sure does love cats.
10) The look in her eyes
It had always been this mom’s dream to go to Key West. For Their 24th wedding anniversary, her husband took her to see the ocean sunset. And who ever said that romance is dead in marriage?
11) Give her a name
This person went to the airport to pick their niece up on Christmas and the staff told them that someone threw away a kitten. Of course, he took her home and now that cat lives with her new family.
12) Catch a grenade for you
He may look like an ordinary man who had an accident and wound up in the hospital. But this man is actually a hero who protected a stranger from bullet fire in Vegas. We don’t know the whole story, but what’s more to know\?
13) We’re all kids inside
This man hadn’t gotten a toy for Christmas in fifty years. This is him putting together a Lego logging tractor set his son-in-law got him. Turns out we all have a little playfulness inside.
14) Is there a doctor?
Four hours into a flight from Spain to NYC, a kid was suffering an asthma attack. His medicine was in a checked bag. Thankfully, a surgeon was on board and gave him a nebulizer that he’ll probably keep
15) More than acquaintances
This guy started a new job at a metal plant and complained that his feet were killing him. But when asked why he didn’t get different shoes, he said he’d rather take care of his family than his feet. So, his coworkers pitched in and bought him nice boots.
16) Keep them busy
This is a wonderful way to keep the kids busy while you shop. Offer them free fruit to snack on with their parent’s approval. No parent will say no to a banana or apple at the grocery store.
17) Is this Santa?
This isn’t a Hallmark community project but the works of one man. He sets up a tree and fills it with anything people in the community might need and says take what you need. He doesn’t guard it…just keeps it full.
18) That dog is happy about it
No one knows who did this, which makes it that much better. They left a basket of tennis balls at the local dog park at Christmastime to give the pups a little something to do and a gift to take home.
19) Best server ever
This server cut up this elderly man’s ham after he said his hands weren’t working too well. He was on oxygen, which also made it difficult for him to breathe. This is good service and should be implemented everywhere.
20) Especially for the dogs
This street covers the sidewalks in blankets for stray dogs to sleep on. They attract a lot of attention and everyone loves it. Poor things probably get food given to them as well if this is where they stay.
21) He was born this way
This guy was born with two fingers missing. When he was little, his mom would make gloves for him like this. When he was 30, she brought those memories back by altering this pair for him.
22) The best tutor
This man helps people with math and physics questions for free. It doesn’t matter if they are college students, high school students, or curious mothers, he is there for them and their complex problems.
23) Frida La Perrita
This is Frida, she’s a rescue dog that’s way cooler than any of us will ever be. She wears goggles, gloves, and is an excellent swimmer. She’s even a Marine, so yeah, she’s the most amazing dog ever.
24) That’s some tip
A stranger tipped this man $200 and his wife cried her eyes out. They got to have their first real Christmas with a decorated tree and great presents. This is the magic of Christmas that we should remember all year long.
25) Play it, fiddler
When this baby started crying, this guy played his violin to cheer her up. He played it the entire subway ride because when he stopped, she started crying. Now that is quite the man who probably has kids of his own.
26) A beautiful story
This isn’t your typical love story, this love story tells the tale of an officer who saved a girl in ’98 and ended up a father figure who was at her college graduation. Now that will make you tear up.
27) Reddit wins again
Reddit fans got together and sent this guy a whole load of Tonka trucks, his favorite. They even made a custom “Max’s Hummer” which is his name. This is the sweetest thing they could have done for him.
28) The life of a vet
This poor veterinarian comes home every night during the hardest times of year and cries under her blanket. Thankfully, her best friend is always their with wide eyes and soft purrs to comfort her.
29) She did what?
We don’t have a background on this but apparently, this mom saved 40 kids from a burning bus. Now there’s a mom of the year that takes things to a new level. Imagine your mom doing this!
30) Not your average mama
This is the most precious gift. This “mom” was a surrogate who gave birth to a child that was not hers nor would ever be hers. The parents had been trying to have a child for over ten years.
31) She saved Christmas
When this homeless woman caught someone stealing this kid’s bike, his parents invited her home for Christmas. She even had a son of her home who was also invited. They gave them gifts and a warm meal.
32) A house for cats
Someone built a house for strays in the forest complete with water bowls and all the necessities. Now people can make sure the bowls are filled because everything else is already done.
33) Best friends forever
This dog was hit by a car and left for dead. After coming home from the vet, his kid cuddled with him for hours to bring him comfort through the pain. Now that’s a well-bonded pair.
34) A beached whale
These grandparents saved a beached whale that had washed up on shore during their vacation. It’s just a baby and wouldn’t have survived without their help. This is a couple doing their part.
35) Mini-libraries should be a thing
Someone in this neighborhood put out little cupboards filled with free books that they ask to be returned for others. You can add some if you like or take some. It’s a great show of integrity.
36) Such an empathetic kid
This boy said there were kids in his class that didn’t have a lunch. So, he asked his mom if he could bring them some of his. She sent him with this box for any kids that didn’t have their own.
37) Think of the dogs
This family went around saving dogs after Hurricane Harvey in Texas. Those dogs might not be able to find their way to land so for someone to think of them is just amazing. Way to go.
38) Aren’t they cute?
This officer couldn’t stand the thought of something happening to this puppy at the shelter. So he adopted him. The two will be very happy together, if the looks on their faces say anything.
39) Fighting Alzheimer’s
‘Her father has early-onset Alzheimer’s. But when she bought him a dog for Christmas, he said ,”I know I’m going to forget a lot but I’m going to remember this for a very long time.”
40) He almost didn’t make it
This guy saved 30 people in a Vegas shooting before he was shot in the neck. He literally risked his neck for strangers and almost sacrificed himself in the process. He’s the real MVP.
41) He’s a good boy, indeed
This dog is named Cooper. He saved his master from an abusive ex when the ex wouldn’t allow her to leave. Cooper jumped him and bit his leg, allowing her to escape. She tells him he’s a good boy every day.
42) When the spoon is too long
This server fed this disabled woman so her husband could eat his food. This is something that had probably never happened for the couple and it’s probably the first time the husband had eaten warm food in a while.
43) Are you crying yet?
After being in a car accident, this kid was terrified. While they waited for the ambulance to arrive, this firefighter showed him Happy Feet on his phone. Now that’s a man with compassion.
44) Let him read
When this mailman saw this boy searching for mail to read, he took action and made a post on Facebook asking people to send him books. They did so and now he has so many books that he can’t keep up.
45) She started at six-years-old
This young lady didn’t have to plant food for the homeless but she did. She set up gardens for them and continues to make huge changes in the world. Let her be an inspiration to anyone who says there’s nothing they can do.
46) She started a fundraiser
This homeless man saw a woman had left her bag in the front seat of her car and the window was down. He stood in the rain for over two hours to make sure it wasn’t stolen. After she didn’t return, he took it to the police.
47) Flight attendant’s watchful eye
When this flight attendant noticed a teen traveling with a much older gentleman she didn’t appear to be comfortable with, the woman left a note in the bathroom. When the teen replied that she needed help, she called the police. They were waiting at the terminal when they arrived.
48) Gave up his career
Or at least the rest of his senior year. This college athlete donated bone marrow which sacrifices his athletic career for months. He saved a life and doesn’t really care what he had to do to do so.
49) Just one card
When this girl, a burn victim, asked the internet for a Christmas card, she received thousands of gifts. You can see them all behind her. That’s the power of empathy, that’s the power of unity in our world.
50) It’s not a dog eat dog world
A long story short, this homeless man saved a puppy from the streets. He was rewarded with a fundraiser in his honor to help him get off the streets, just like he helped the puppy. What a union!
51) Hire him
This small game developer saw that a disabled person wanted to play his game but said he couldn’t play well unless done old school with point and click buttons. So, of course, the developer fixed the problem.
52) The correct way to hit and run
If you ding someone’s door, the way to handle it is to leave a note with your number. No one would know if you left without a word but this person knows that integrity goes a long way.
53) Or it’s the morphine
Here is the hero in a 2015 shooting. He rushed the shooter and survived seven gunshot wounds. He’s as happy as can be laying in the hospital bed. Why? Because he saved countless lives.
54) They put in the work
This is what surgeons look like after a 32-hour surgery. In this case, they were removing brain tumors, a sensitive surgery that requires even more attention to detail than your average surgery.
55) The statues we need
Here is a statue of a man who saved someone from drowning at Newport and drowned himself in the process. This is the photo of the unveiling that makes you want to cry just looking at it.
56) Never off duty
Who is this man you may ask. He was cardiologist who was vacationing on the beach when he saved a child’s life without any equipment. It wasn’t his duty, but he made an oath to himself.
57) Can I get another round?
This man at the convenience store fed a deer a peanut butter bar. The deer left and a half-hour later came back with her family. Is this why you don’t feed wild animals or why you do feed them?
58) Give them an allowance
This kid saves up his allowance to donate to the Humane Society. This is just one small haul. The last time he gave one dog a life-saving surgery. He will grow up to do great things in life.
59) This is why it matters
This policeman worked so hard helping those suffering from Hurricane Harvey that he passed out from exhaustion. It’s a good thing they keep EMTs close by. Remember, not all cops are the same.
60) Pass it on
This is the definition of “pass it on” and should inspire you. Instead of focusing on competing, this athlete gave out water to those who couldn’t get their own. She should be recognized.
61) Better than a tree
This couple spent all of their Christmas tree money on adopting this cat and getting her stuff, so they built a Christmas “tree” for her. Who needs gifts when you have a love like this?
