Airplanes aren’t the most comfortable places to spend time. Add stressed-out people to the mix and you’ve got a place where anxiety and impatience can sometimes bring out the worst behavior.

From peacocks to rowdy children to just plain rude or eccentric adults, here are 50 of the strangest photos from people’s airplane travels:

1) Stowaway

This spider is worse than most passengers, though ironically, not all passengers. However, he was sent away immediately after he was found, so I guess he didn’t pay for his ticket.

2) Better Than A Neck Pillow

This is Desmond. He lives in the cockpit and likes to sleep on the plane. If only all pilots had pets with them in the cockpit, they would probably all be happier. Just you wait, a cat is the least interesting pilot pet you’ll see.

3) She Did The Double Glance

Don’t you hate it when people deliberately watch what you’re doing on your phone? This lady was doing so on this flight and he caught her red-handed. He took a video of himself and turned it to her so she could see what she was doing.

4) Got Any Treats?

These dogs are sitting in front of these people and they can’t stop smiling. There’s no better passenger than a well-behaved dog. They don’t ask for much, they’re not obnoxious, and they are genuinely pleasant company.

5) This My Turkey

Who said that taking a turkey home for Thanksgiving had to have anything to do with dinner? This lady took a turkey on her flight and apparently that’s okay. What will we see next? A donkey?

6) Nope, A Peacock

Did you know you can keep peacocks as pets? Someone did. They took their peacock on their flight and she waited patiently while they were tagging their bags. Maybe peacocks are the superior bird.

7) The More You Know

Imagine sitting next to Anthony Padilla on a flight. You would never feel so simultaneously judged and accepted at the same time, the man has a way. In this case, anyone would worry about someone watching Why Planes Crash on a flight.

8) Not His Kids

This guy is on a red-eye flight to Seattle and he sees these kids wreaking havoc. It happens, you know, but in this case, it’s much worse than usual because that is his seat in the middle. I’d just go to the bathroom until a parent comes in.

9) Recognize Her?

It looks like this celebrity is undercover. Her name is Sarah Jessica Parker and at this point I’m wondering if she can breathe under there. “We’ll talk about it when I land,” she says, letting us know there’s more to this story.

10) That Is Courageous

Someone ate another passenger’s food and had no regrets. Not only did she own up to it but she gave a pretty bold reason.

11) But What Flight Was It?

Well, if she was on Delta or Southwest, she may have been scouting out the competition. Otherwise, maybe she’s doing her research on the airline company she chose. You never know about people.

12) And Here We Have It

This is a service miniature horse. He isn’t for petting but for helping others. In a way, he’s a therapeutic stewardess. If this becomes normal, it will be hard for human flight attendants to get hired.

13) They Are Doomed

I’m not sure of Hurley from Lost being on your flight means that your flight will crash or that it will be saved. Hurley knows what’s going on and if he didn’t buy all of the seats then I’d say that they are fine.

14) He Needs His Boo

This adorable “Kitty” is sitting all alone and is as cute as he can be. If you can’t have a dog sitting next to you, a sweet kid would be the next best thing. Let’s face it, incorrigible adults are worse than kids.

15) Who Needs A Belt?

This guy took off his belt on the plane and used it to keep his head up. That’s actually a genius idea. It’s comfy, especially if you have an eye pad to cushion your forehead. He should trademark this idea.

16) Need Some Company?

Why do dogs always look at you like they are going to ask a question but they don’t speak English? That’s why they sit for a few seconds, stare, and then bark. They are just trying to communicate with you.

17) I Know The Feeling

This can happen with old women, teenage boys, and just about everyone in between. People don’t realize how much perfume they are putting on until someone tells them. Maybe next time try extra deodorant instead.

18) Meet Flirty

This is Flirty, the service pony on this flight. Her client is a thirty-three year old woman suffering from PTSD. Her job is to keep the woman company. The woman would get a dog but she is allergic, so Flirty is her next best bet.

19) No Shoes, No Problem

This guy didn’t just take off his shoes, he took the soles out so they could air out. That’s taking things to a new level because he set them on the arm of his chair so anyone walking by can smell them.

20) Better Than An Ostrich

The ostrich pillow was a best seller the year it was released but this dude has an even better plan. He took a sweater and created a privacy tent for him and his device. They should provide these on all planes.

21) He Did A No-No

No idea what happened here but this guy is in trouble. I don’t know if it was a joke or if he actually is detained until they reach their destination. He definitely had too much to drink no matter what the story is.

22) There Can Only Be One

Oh, did you want to watch your TV? Well, you should have said something. This lady probably didn’t mean to throw her hair on someone’s screen but she did. If only it didn’t feel rude to ask her to move it.

23) The Sweetest Companion

Pigs are underrated. People love cats, dogs, and horses, but what about pigs. They are sweet, smart, and reliable. Plus, they are easy to feed. Pigs need more attention and a great place to start is this service pig.

24) Friends For Life

There’s only one thing better than a bachelorette party before you get married. A bachelorette party after you get married. At that point, you probably have more money than when you got married and your friends are for lifers!

25) Don’t Forget Me

You know the song they play on Home Alone at the airport? That’s the song that this dog hears at this moment. What is this dog’s job, you may ask? He reunites people with their lost items based on their smell.

26) He Can’t Be Rude

It’s a crazy world we live in where it’s rude to ask someone to not be rude. All that this guy was doing is chilling and he has to deal with someone’s feet behind him. If he asks them to put their feet down, suddenly, he’s the rude one.

27) What Great Support

Most people who have service dogs get retrievers, and most people with emotional support dogs get something that will fit in their lap. This person brought their emotional support Great Dane with them.

28) Anyone Would Accept

You’d have to be crazy not to accept an AirDrop or a DM from a dog. Dogs have good intentions and make the best conversationalists. Plus, they’ll send you really cute photos on a regular basis.

29) Pilot’s Best Friend

Is there anything more exotic than a pilot with a joey? Every pilot should have a joey and not a human one either. This pilot loves his joey who is named Skippy, probably because he’s such a good hopper.

30) They Delivered A Baby!

This team of flight attendants helped deliver a baby and this is a day they will never forget. They got to take part in one of the most important events possible and it had nothing to do with offering peanuts.

31) The Real MVP

This man actually spent two hours staring at an iPod Nano. The dude doesn’t have a smartphone or a tablet but he’s living his best life. These things weren’t made for movies but he doesn’t live by someone else’s standards.

32) Does He Know Her Personally?

I can’t tell if this is a lady he knows personally that brings snakes to school or one who is stereotyped by her looks. Not that it makes a huge difference but proof is important. Although a look in their eyes can be even more important than proof.

33) I Wish It Was Real

If this panda was real, my life would be complete. But since it’s not, I’m just really happy to see how close these two are. The panda even has a snack that is probably snuck in his panda pockets.

34) That’s A Little Disrespectful

Just a little. You want to hang your shirt over the window, go ahead, but when you break out the undies, you’ve crossed a line. It doesn’t matter if they are clean or dirty, your underwear should not be seen in public.

35) Chuckie And Annabelle Are Here Too

This American Girl doll has never looked creepier. Normally, American Girl dolls are pretty harmless, but the way this one is staring at the other passengers says that she’s different. A good kind of different, right? Right?

36) How Could You?

How could anyone do this? Leaving somewhere a mess just because it’s not your “job” to clean it up is about as entitled as it gets. Especially when the mess you leave is above and beyond the typical mess.

This couple just had to get their exercise done on this flight. They probably expected more people to watch them but sleep is more important than watching someone show out on a flight, sorry.

38) And I Can’t Take Water

This person took a giant Easter Island-type statue with them on the plane and most people can’t get by with razors or water in their suitcase. You never know what is allowed and what isn’t.

39) Make Yourself Comfortable

There’s nothing worse than sitting next to someone making themself overly comfortable. This guy isn’t obtrusive by any means, but his shorts are hiked up and his pillow is fully fluffed. He does not care.

41) What are you watching?

This dog is definitely judging the other passengers and we don’t know why. It is pretty adorable though, even if it might feel a little invasive.

42) We’re About To Lift Off

She finally closed the distance after three years. She got her dog on a plane and they are going home. It’s so nice to finally be with your dog and significant other at the same time. The family is together!

43) They Wanted One

I hate to break it to you, but this guy was being sarcastic. Yes, you thought he was an idiot but he knew what he was doing when he did it. Just like egg salad, no one wants to smell tuna…ever.

44) Let Me Tell You ‘Bout My Best Friend

I’m not sure if you can register a turkey as a therapy pet but apparently this person got by with sneaking one on the plane. This is her therapy turkey and no one can tell her differently. To each their own.

45) Did He Sneak It On?

This guy definitely snuck this cat on the airplane in his carry on. It’s the first time most of the people on the flight have seen a cat on a plane and with good reason. It just might be the prettiest cat they’ve seen anywhere!

46) It Wasn’t His Dog

This guy sat next to a service dog on the plane and it wasn’t even his dog. He just sat next to his feet! Whether or not he pet him was unknown as petting service dogs isn’t usually recommended.

47) So Australian

This photo is as international as they get. The koala is getting better treatment than most passengers. Nothing about it is American which is kind of refreshing. I’m not even sure what kind of accent the stewardess has but she has one.

48) He’s Afraid Of Flying

This poor dog is definitely afraid of flying but he shouldn’t be. He’ll be taken care of like he’s in First Class no matter where he’s seated. People can’t resist treating dogs well on planes, it’s kind of a given.

49) You Know You Want To Pet Him

A lot of people like to take their shoes off on the plane, as you have seen before. But even this duck keeps his shoes on and he has webbed feet. If he can do it, so can you. If you pass the test, you can even pet him.

50) He Can’t See, You Can’t See

This man has it all out on the table. If there was a table, he’d have it there anyway. He covered his own eyes so I guess that means no one else can see his indecency either. Does this work all of the time or just on planes?
