Three years ago, a video went viral when a cute 4-year-old boy from Georgia captivated millions of viewers.
Seneca Whitehead is your typical four-year-old boy who loves to play and adores his little toy drum.
Tabithia Wilcox, Seneca’s mother, filmed her son as he joined the drumline at Telfair County High School in Georgia.
This adorable video was shared so many times that it garnered 7.3M views on Facebook alone.
Tabithia always knew that her child loved playing drums. That’s why she chose a toy drum as his present for his birthday.
While the family was preparing to go to the football game, little Seneca asked his mom if he could bring his new toy drum with him.
Of course, mommy said yes!
“One of the parents saw him with the drum and she was like, ‘Oh, he’s so cute, can he join the drumline?’ I was like, ‘OK,'” Tabithia said to ABC News.
Seneca was so excited as he joined the school’s drumline.
With confidence, this little boy started playing with the young drummers. To everyone’s surprise, this little boy’s drumming skill was unbelievable!
Seneca’s smile was so beautiful.
He definitely has potential, and the way he plays his toy drum, you can just tell that he has a bright future in music.
“It’s awesome,” Seneca’s mom added. “He has an older brother who drums. He just picked it up from him, I guess.”
Tabithia and her daughter started filming Seneca’s performance, and just like any other proud parent, she shared it on Facebook, and the rest was history.
After a few days after Tabithia’s post went viral, she started getting calls and messages from well-known TV networks, asking if they could feature the young drummer’s story.
ABC’s Strahan, Sara & Keke featured Seneca and his mother and even surprised him with his very own brand-new drum set!
Seneca was so happy because he would be able to practice his drumming skills even more! Of course, his mother was very proud of him.
Who wouldn’t? This adorable child will definitely go places.
Supporting your kid’s passion and dreams helps them be confident with their talent and skills.
So, if you see your child showing interest in music, painting, even in cooking, take time and play with them. Support them and see how far they can go.
