Times are stressful right now, from the global coronavirus pandemic to high unemployment rates to the hurt and pain that’s risen to the surface with George Floyd’s death. The world’s inhabitants have found themselves drowning in worry.

People are finding ways to escape those suffocating emotions by going camping, picking up a new book, starting an exercise routine or tackling long-neglected do-it-yourself projects. Whatever helps them immerse themselves in an uplifting activity.

One fantastic way to try and forget the negatives in the world is with song. Dancing, singing, either one works!

Clark S. Cox III, a software engineer at Apple, recorded two of his friends having a blast singing and lip-syncing while jamming out to the upbeat song “You’re the One That I Want” from the classic musical Grease. His pals are awesome to watch and the internet agrees!

Clark’s video has set social media ablaze. This video clip isn’t long but it’s packed with sheer awesomeness.

“This is why the Internet was invented.”

Clark’s two buddies clown around, sing and dance to a beloved song that has spanned decades. One channels his inner Sandy while the other brings out his best Danny impersonation for their impromptu parking lot performance.

Sandy Olsson, played in the original version of Grease by Olivia Newton-John, and greaser Danny Zuko played by John Travolta, fell in love with each over the summer at the beach.

Suddenly, they’re thrust together at the same high school and while Sandy is ready to resume their romance, Danny can’t be seen by his Thunderbirds as a lovestruck fool.

This 1978 musical produced actors and actresses who went on to become big stars, along with fantastic songs that have withstood the test of time.

Toward the end of the movie when Sandy opts for a total makeover to win Danny’s heart, the whole crew breaks out in “You’re the One That I Want.”

Poured into black leather pants and a black crop top with red stilettos, Sandy struts around the school’s year-end carnival and has Danny drooling over her. While Clark’s buddies don’t necessarily throw themselves that far into their routine, they’re still amazing to watch!

While this scene from Grease truly is electrifying to watch, Take Lessons notes that singing helps boost the immune system, provides a form of respiratory exercise, perks up posture, helps with sleep and lowers stress levels. It even helps lifts ones mood as a natural antidepressant.

When you watch these guys’ rendition of this dance and song, you won’t stop smiling. They’re simply that awesome!

Facebook user Reina Manso commented that she loves “those shaking shoulders!”

“I think I’ve watched this close to 10 times, you two have brought so much cheer that laugh still every time I watch it. AND YOU BOTH KEPT YOUR SOCIAL DISTANCING DOING IT.”

One of the guys looks a bit bashful but quickly loses his shyness once they start shimmying all around. When they sing “electrifying,” he comically acts as if he’s been shocked.

“I got chills, they’re multiplying. And I’m losing control. ‘Cause the power you’re supplying. It’s electrifying!”

They dance back and forth in the parking lot outside Clark’s vehicle and they’re honestly pretty good! They show off some slick moves and at one point, the pal in the green Adidas sweatshirt can barely contain his laughter.

“You better shape up, ’cause I need a man. And my heart is set on you. You better shape up, you better understand. To my heart, I must be true. Nothing left, nothing left for me to do.”

When they roll into the duet, they really bring it. They prance about, jamming and jiving. They’re just too funny to watch!

“You’re the one that I want (you are the one I want). Oo-oo-oo, honey.”
