Nothing warms the heart quite like seeing young kids who’ve been blessed with extraordinary talents, especially when they have the voice of an angel like the teenager in this video. He floors the judges on America’s Got Talent, and even gets Simon to make a promise that he’ll be forced to keep.

When 13-year-old, Jeffrey Li, took the stage on America’s Got Talent it didn’t take long for the judges to be mesmerized
Since Simon Cowell created America’s Got Talent back in 2006, they’ve hosted a wide array of talented people who captivated the hearts of people all over the country, and the entire globe. Many of those people were kids, but not many come close to young Jeffrey Li and his astounding vocals.
Just by looking at the gifted 13-year-old, you would never know he had the voice of an angel but the judges on AGT would quickly realize this to be true. At the start of the video, Jeffrey explains that he’s an only child and would love to win the prize money to buy a dog for companionship so Simon Cowell makes him a promise.
“If you do well, I’m going to buy you a dog,” said Simon.
Jeffrey sings “Raise Me Up” by powerhouse vocalist, Josh Groben, and the teen singer gives the superstar a run for his money
Jeffrey explains that he’s singing “Raise Me Up” because it’s a song that has gotten him through times of loneliness, and right from the start it’s easy to see that the 13-year-old means business.
His voice soars through the Pasadena Civic Auditorium, and the crowd is immediately taken aback by his powerful vocals. People watching go crazy for the young singer, and his mother is brought to tears by their reaction.

The teen vocalist captivates everyone watching for the entire performance, putting on a spectacle that we’re certain even Josh Groben would be proud of.
Finishing with several high notes that not many young singers can hit, it’s clear that everyone, including the judges are impressed by Jeffrey. It looks like Simon owes someone a puppy!
The judges absolutely love the 13-year-old singer, and they’re not going to let Simon forget about his promise
Heidi Klum is the first judge to comment saying:
“Jeffrey, I think you might be getting a puppy.”
It’s an easy yes for all four judges, and Simon is thoroughly impressed by Jeffrey’s masterful audition.
“Jeffrey, talk about stakes. He’s 13-years-old, coming out in front of about three-four thousand people and you’re singing one of the biggest songs in the world. But I’m not going to tell you yet what I think of it until the very end,” Simon teases, he went on to say: “I think this was an amazing audition, so I’m going to keep my promise. Not only have you got four yeses, you just got yourself a new dog.”
It’s easy to see why he got four yeses, and the young star even went viral on YouTube gaining over 13 million views
Seeing young kids like Jeffrey Li rise to the occasion and stun the judges is so inspiring, and we’re sure teenagers all over the world will feel the same.
