It’s awesome that so many adults are going above and beyond to provide assistance to those in need. But it’s even more impressive when a kid steps up to do something wonderful for others. There’s one young girl who’s ‘made a name for herself on the internet thanks to her good deeds.
Her name is Chelsea Phaire
Chelsea has always had a passion for giving back. Even though she’s only in sixth grade, she’s wanted to start a charity for years. She’d ask her parents about it all the time. Finally, on her 10th birthday, they figured it was time to put things in motion.
She founded Chelsea’s Charity
Chelsea named the charity after herself, with some impressive alliteration. Then, she decided to get started on her birthday. Instead of buying her presents, she selflessly asked people to get art supplies that she could send to others.
Donating to kids in need
Chelsea knew that making art would help a lot of kids feel better. That’s why she decided to distribute art supplies to foster homes and other places where less fortunate kids lived. She hoped that would motivate them to get creative.
Continuing her efforts
During the first drive, Chelsea was about to deliver several dozen art kits to kids who needed them. But she didn’t want to stop there. She kept going, encouraging people to donate through her Amazon Wishlist.

The charity is highly successful

The quarantine hasn’t stopped her
You might think the coronavirus pandemic would slow this little philanthropist down. But that’s far from reality. From the start of the quarantine, she’s sent out 1,500 art kits. It’s awesome to see someone using their quarantine time productively.
She explained why she’s doing it
Chelsea said, “I feel good inside knowing how happy they are when they get their art kits. I have definitely grown as a person because of this. Now my dream is to meet every kid in the entire world and give them art. Who knows, maybe if we do that and then our kids do that, we’ll have world peace!”
